Why don't they just all come out of the closet and asmit their homosexaul tendency's. Clearly if they support it like the war on Iraq is supported by the conservative all conservatives are supposed to fightt in Iraq. So appling the same logic since liberals support homosexaul marriage all liberals are clearly homosexaul. Correct? Applying their logic against them is sweet is it not?

Your argument doesn't make any sense.
Short answer: no, that's not correct.
Lots of people say that if you support the war, you should fight there as well, but that's because of a basic "put your money where your mouth is" logic that has nothing to do with liberalism or homosexuality. Doesn't it make sense, that if you believe the war needs to be fought, that you do some of the fighting? Makes sense to me.
However, that same logic doesn't apply to homosexuality. It doesn't make any sense to say that if you support gay marriage you should be in one.
There are obviously liberals who aren't homosexual ... and also you're an idiot.
By the way, let me introduce you to my friend named spell check. You guys should really get to know each other.

I think Hillary hit it right on the head; you are an idiot. If someone supports gay marriage, it does not mean they are gay. It means they are in favor of equal rights. I can't speak for any presidential candidates, liberal or otherwise, I can only speak for myself: I (a straight, married man) have several gay friends, many of whom are in commited, long term relationships. From a love, family, and interpersonal relationship perspective, they are no different than my wife and I. They are still American citizens, tax payers, are active in the community and behave as morally as anyone else (unless you're writing federal laws based on what the Bible says, which last I checked is unconstitutional), and so it seems stupid that they are denied the same basic rights.

I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic.
Maybe it's just me.
But a better analogy might be to ask all supporters of abortion on demand to quit their jobs and to work in an abortion clinic for a year. They would not have to go overseas and leave their families, and the unborn children don't fight back.

Easy. Reposting my answer to the same silly question....
This is conservative 'logic'? It must be, since so many apparent conservatives think it is such a meaningful analogy. But it's not. It's just silly buzzwords strung together for the froth at the mouth types.
It is not liberals who say these this. It is people who are against the war that want to know if those that are for it are willing to fight in it. (Or willing to see their sons and daughters fight in it) A fair question.
As for gay marriage, that is a matter of equal rights. If you ask a gay supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to marry someone of the same sex, the answer obviously would be yes. If you ask a straight supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to marry someone of the same sex, the answer obviously would be no. - But not because they are false in their support, it is because they are not gay. But if you ask a straight supporter of gay marriage if they are willing to see married gay couples living in their neighborhoods, enjoying the same rights that they have, the answer would be yes.

some people, liberal or not, would just like to see all people have the same rights.
If you were in a relationship with someone of your same gender and you were not married, your family would have more rights over you than your partner.
Let's say you are on life support, and you had previously made out a "what if" scenario with your partner. You had told your partner you didn't want yourself or them to suffer by keeping you alive. If you were married you could sign that statement and it would be legal. If you were not, your family could keep you alive against your wishes because they are acting in their own interests.
What would happen if your life was saved but you ended up brain-damaged and couldn't take care of yourself? Would your family regret that decision and feel burdened by having to then take care of you?

This is the second time today I've seen a similar question. However, just to point out, often the reason for homophobia is a fear of admitting your own latent tendencies. So perhaps the reason conservatives don't want to allow gays to marry is the fear that they'd be too tempted if it was legal.

No... your logic is flawed. Gays want to get married because it makes them happy. I sure hope our troops are not in Iraq because killing makes them happy. Comparing the job our troops is doing in Iraq to gay marriage (which by the way, I think is ridiculous) is an insult to our troops. They are there sacrificing themselves for this country. The gays are not sacrificing themselves for this country by marrying.

Here's a test in logic for you. Are you racist? Do you support equal rights for black people? If you support equal rights for black people, and you're white does that make you black? Of course it doesn't.
Discrimination based on sexual orientation is discrimination, and discrimination is wrong. I'm against discrimination, so I support equal rights for homosexuals. It's that simple.
