From the outside looking in, the US economy is booming and thriving...everything looks rosie and looks bright in the US garden...according to SkyNews which is part of the Fox network...
It would be absolutely impossible to be booming when you consider the NZ dollar is at approximately 81/82 cents to the US dollar..
For those who do not know, New Zealand is a very small, two-island country on the Eastern edge of Australia and produces a lot of wool & sheep related products..
I lived there for 12 months and it is a cold depressing place with not much going on at all, and their main revenue source is from tourism in the peak summer months of November through to February.
How can they be at such a high conversion rate, when their economy is weak, yet the US is allegedly 'booming?' Or is that just what the US government want the outisde world to think so that we can all live like Bush's America and again, justify protecting 'our way of life?'

Socialists have had corporal punishment banned (i.e. 10 strikes of a cane), because it is considered inhumanely cruel. However, the same people with feminist attitudes would consider jailing two 13 year old boys and giving them sex offender titles for butt slapping (sexual harrasment).

Another example of socialist stupidity and hypocracy?
What do you think?

She disappeared on May 30, 2005. Although some missing people have been found years after they went missing; I have a feeling that Natalee is deceased.

What do you honestly think happened to her on that graduation trip?

The Democrats took Congress last year, because Americans are sick of Bush and his war. Next year, they have a real good chance of taking the White House because Americans are sick of Bush and his war. And the fact that Giuliani and most of the other Republican candidates support the war (with the exception of my hero, Ron Paul) is not helping us at all.

Thanks a lot Mr. Bush and other neo-cons, we are all going to have to pay higher taxes starting from 2009.

George W. Bush is acting more and more like a king anyway. Why not declare the U.S. a constitutional monarchy and limit his powers?

My ideal president:
-someone who will not only listen to the people but listen to himself and do what s/he knows is right for the country
-someone who is strong and not coward. not afraid of what people will think.
-someone who knows what its like to be an average american
-someone who can stop paying too much attention on other countries, and start putting more effective efforts to fix our own.

our country is broken, and we cannot help others until we help our own

I would love to know yours, please do tell ;)

Well, I am a huge fan! I'm wondering if I should join or not in a few years as I am thinking on other plans, and my dad won't have it, since he was in the vietnam war.
Anyway, I was wondering, what is the Marines like compared to other military branches?
A lot of people have told me its one of the most intense training out of all of them, and is it true that the Marines are trained to kill, train and kill?

And also, i was wondering if The Marines is anything like the movie Jarhead?
Thanks so much!
Go Marines! =]

It's obvious our true enemies ( the guys behind 9/11 , etc. ) are in Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iraq is just a big Bush Mistake. We've all seen the proof that Saddam had ZERO to do with Al Qaeda and please don't post dishonest crap claiming he did. Why don't we have a larger portion of our troops where the true fight is? Instead of having them screw the pooch in Iraq?

We have been together almost a year, both in our forties, defintely want to be together. We know there are several avenues open to us but I am wondering if anyone has any experience with either the fiance visa, or being sponsored by a family member (he has two sisters who live in the states.) Which one is more of a sure thing? We don't want him to get denied because of quotas, then be unable to visit for a year!
