Because they are not mature enough, and have no clue as to what is going on and what it is about. Also child molesters use porn as a way to groom children into sexual activity. "See, these people are doing this and enjoying it, thus it must be ok".
Let children be children as long as they can.
I ran across a bunch of dirty hardcore magazines at 10 years old - maybe younger. At the time i thought it was great. Now looking back on it i wish i had never seen that stuff at such a young age. I feel it corrupted me and caused me problems as i grew up.

I'm sorry but this is the most IDIOTIC question I've ever seen. This is like saying, "Why is sex with kids illegal?"
Everything in porn is explict and not for a child's eyes. Not really for adults' eyes either but oh well.

because they are so young and don't know what they're watching. this is why the age limit for these movies are R18, because this is the age people feel people know about sex and can handle it.
