If you are requested to take a paternity test and it comes back positive, do you have the option to sign away the rights to the child vs. paying child support to a child you would never get to see?

We buried my brother Randy who was killed in Afganistan on July 9. Everybody I met who attended the funeral understood it, then I saw some protesters along the roadside waving signs denegrating his sacrifice. Are our young people really that ignorant and naieve about the realities of armed conflict?

Do you think that any guy that has any inclination to go meet an underage boy or girl he has met on the internet should reconsider. Remember there are many underage girls out ther looking for older men and also ver many undercover cops looking to entrap some unsuspecting guy.

Some Americans are outraged that certain soldiers are being prosecuted for committing heinous crimes in Iraq and are angrily calling for donations for their defense. They apparently don't feel that American soldiers should be held accountable in any way, shape, or form for crimes like the rape and unjustified murder of Iraqi civilians. To them, its not patriotic. Do you feel that being an American soldier should give you a free pass to behave in anyway whatsoever without accountability? Should the troops always be supported no matter what they do?

Can I vote in the Democratic Presidential Primaries in 2008 if I am not 18? I don't think I can, but my friend told me she thought I could. I will be legally able to vote in the actual election in November 2008. She told me this qualifies me to vote in the primaries as well, even though I'd be under 18. It's in the state of Maryland, if that matters.

A questioner stated that her husbands plant closed, was moved to Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico, a family member told her that the workers at the new plant, made
$30 per day plus had benefits of clothes, shoes, medical and child care services.
That any family member could go into the plant to work that job.
No sources other than what the family member told her!!

As of 01-01-2006
The minimum wage in Mexico was $4.56 / day
In Juarez "Maguiladora's" wages were $1.25 per hour, $10.00 per day, $50.00 per week
(40 hr week) no O.T. !
American Plants (Maguiladora's)
the employees buy their own work uniforms, no free child care , free shoes.

That is what the minimum wage is in Mexico, Mexican Unions are pressing the plants to increase wages and benefits. American plants are threatening to pull out their plants and move to China because of the increased demands for Mexican Wages.

You still think they are going to raise wages so Americans will do the work. do not hold your breath

hello,

I'm turning 18 on friday 03 august 2007, and I still haven't decided what branch to join. I'm planning on enlisting that day.. or the monday after.. I'm interested in the Army because it sounds glorious.. getting the chance to call yourself a soldier. Then there's the Navy, that sounds interesting too. The Air Force is the branch my mom wants me to join. She doesn't agree with any other branch than the AF. I told her Army, and she freaked out. She was like, "well, what's your logic?" "let's have a heart to heart talk here, and tell me WHY you'd want to get shipped off to Iraq".. I didn't have anything to say, because I don't want to tell her my real feelings. my entire family doesn't believe in me.. and I find it hard to believe in myself. So, Idk anymore. any help, or advice from present military members, past military members, or just civilians who answer this question would be greatly appreciated.

I think when her Political career goes up in flames she could always resort to an acting career since she seems to be so good at it.
I suggested she could start a morning talk show with Rosie as her co-host and give "The View" some competition.
After all Both of them are extremely articulate with old fashioned family values.
