Do you think that any guy that has any inclination to go meet an underage boy or girl he has met on the internet should reconsider. Remember there are many underage girls out ther looking for older men and also ver many undercover cops looking to entrap some unsuspecting guy.

Yes I think they should reconsider. Not only reconsider the decision to meet the child but also reconsider seeking counseling for their urges to have sex with minors.

Where do you get the idea there are many underage girls looking for older guys? And whatever makes you think the sting operations are entrapment?

Entrapment has two elements to it:
1). An officer (or his agent acting on behalf of the officer) induce the defendant to commit a crime by persuasion, trickery, or fraud: and
2). The criminal intent originates with the officer (or the officer's agent), instead of the innocent defendant, so that the crime is created by the officer/agent.

In reference to the second element: an offender that is predisposed to committing the crime cannot successfully prove entrapment. Also, you can not attempt an entrapment defense unless you first admit to committing the offense.

If those two elements aren't present then entrapment is not an issue. So when you solicit a minor for sex you are breaking the law. I hope you get locked up.

Your definition of entrapment is all off. It is not entrapment when a sicko goes to a house after driving three hours to meet a child for sex. Entrapment is like if a female cop asked you to have sex with her then said I want to get paid how much will you give me.

Not entrapment. Look up the legal definition. Plus courts have ruled on the issue many times.

You always have a choice, just don't commit a crime at all... better be cool, you don't want no trouble!
