would make great world leaders when they are afraid of YouTube questions? I say, "show some backbone, boys." It's not like you are going to Iraq to fight terrorists? These are questions from American citizens, not bullets, you are facing. Agree?

Jeremy - I'm confused by your response. Pres Bush surrounds himself with like minded people only. People who were not Republicans were barred from attending any of his rallies. Perhaps you did not know that.

I agree, it doesn't show me that they have a backbone when they cannot stand up to their own people. Why should I vote for someone who doesn't want to hear from the general public. It shows me that they think they are too good for people like me, too good to answer our questions. It makes me feel like they would discredit the American people if they were to get into office because they refuse to listen now.

They avoid straw polls where they might end up looking bad already. To stay par for course, they would avoid a slightly more open "debate" where their words, expressions, mistakes, and past would be archived on Google/Youtube forever. Right now, they can try and pull negative video's by forcing the producer to claim copyright infringment... not so easy if Youtube itself hosts it's own program.

Welcome to the power of the internet. Lets shine more light on these guys, watch 'em scurry to stay hidden.

I knew this from the beginning; they totally lack the cajones!

They are just unable to meet the demands of America. They should be ashamed to be running as candidates of the United States! Even the SEMBLANCE of a "real debate" that engages Americans (which, we know, will never truly happen) is better than this crap: "Reagan... 9/11... Reagan... 9/11 Terrorists... Reagan = Greatest President EVER."

GIVE THE PUBLIC WHAT THEY WANT. ENOUGH WITH THE REAGAN CIRCLE-JERK.

Rudy "Mr. 9/11" Giuliani is not doing YouTube because he's got a really bad rap regarding. Check him out being exposed by a victim's family member right in front of the mainstream media:

Absolutely!!

The Ameican people want somebody who can face the issues with Courage like President Bush has shown.

George W. Bush will be missed by many good friends Nationwide when he leaves office in 2009, I know I'll miss him, he's been a true patriot and best friend to ALL, he even went out of his way to save Democrats from terrorism, but, they could care less what hard work he has done for them!!!

This YouTube stuff is pretty low brow - it is not as productive as
the regular formats or Town Meetings. I found the videos to be poor quality and the annunciation of the speakers was such that I could not understand what they were saying. A waste of time.

These debates are for party selections not for a general election. If they choose to skip them the majority of the Republican Party will be fine with it and that is who they must satisfy for now.

It makes no difference to me whether they skip it or not. I do think it somewhat beneath legitimate candidates for the President of the United States however. There are alternative means of debate from Youtube questions, songs, dances, snowmen, or various other silliness.

Well, I don't understand that.
I like the format of real people asking questions.

I am glad they aren't wasting their time with this YouTube crud. They would end up getting a lot a stupid, pointless questions from half-stoned liberals.
