Other than put on a big show and bring in beds so they can sleep on the job, other than the lowest approval rating in history, other than trying to let all the law breaking wet backs go free, what have they done? Their whole motive is to rase all the heck they can. It has been said that even bad attention is better than no attention at all.

I received a "Summons" letter from the district court of our city attached with a "complaint" from the collection agency (also it's been witnessed by the clerk in our district court). We owe $624.74. Ok, obviously, this is the beginning of being sued. My husband and I know we owe this money...the bill was actually around $1,000 originally and we made a payment of $300 then 4 payments of 75 dollars. So we're not trying to fight it, but unfortunately, due to other medical circumstances, we ended up paying several more $100's and quit making payments to the collection agency which has landed us where we are. What can we do at this point?! I'm desperate. My husband and I are good people, and I'm willing to get this paid off in 30 days if need be...is it too late or do we HAVE to appear in court now?! This is so depressing and we've never been in this situation before and I just don't know what we can do...will they accept payment arrangements now? Someone please please help!!? :-(

I was talking to a man currently in the Military { no I am not going to say his name } and I asked him - Why are all soldiers in the U.S. Military not trained as Navy Seals ? After all one would think they would be unstoppable .

He then looked at me as though he was thinking , then looked away and calmy said - Unstoppable indeed but if all U.S. soldiers were trained as Navy Seals wars would end alot quicker .

Question - What are your thoughts on this ?

I just saw on CBS News that the New York Times just did a poll and 63% of the people interviewed said that they would.

I would. I am doing this as a straw poll to see if it jives with the NYTimes.

more specifically between the BIA and indian tribes, tribal leaders are never answered directly by an agency supt or area director. almost all agency supts never reconize the tribal council"s actions and decisions, are they trained as such by the Bureau of Indian Affairs? the BIA, has tried everything such as genocide by war, desease spreading by offering goods to the indians, now by not directly dealing with the indians.the tribes are told to go thru steps in order to accomplish their (tribes) goals. even with internal tribal problems we are bound by the CFR 25 codes. how can we govern our selves, when we are stuck with the CFR 25 codes and the BIA? our BIA bureauracy is fat and overfed by incompetent indivduals, appointed by people who are unaware of what is really going on in INDIAN country. all you have to do is listen and read the news about the proverty, unemployment, starvation, and the amount of insufficient mony being let by the us congress. billions given to IRAQ.

Democrats Aid Radical Islamists, Trial Lawyers

News item: "Democrats are trying to pull a provision from a homeland security bill that will protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that may lead to a terrorist attack..." This bill was proposed by Peter King, and it was in the aftermath of the flying imams, those six of them that got on an airplane in Minneapolis and started behaving in a manner similar to what was reported on the flights on 9/11. So some passengers and flight crew reported 'em, and the imams threatened to sue the airline and the passengers and all that. So they introduced this legislation that would protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior. But the government itself is telling us to do this. "Be vigilant out there! Keep an eye out! Keep a sharp eye out for suspicious behavior!" Now, the Democrats are trying to take this out. "This legislation moves to a House and Senate conference committee this afternoon and will implement final recommendations from the 9/11 Commission, and Peter King said, 'Democrats are trying to find any technical excuse to keep immunity out of the language of the bill to protect citizens who, in good faith, report suspicious activity to the cops or law enforcement. It's a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward and it caves in to radical Islamists.'" It does! What in the world is the benefit to the Democrats of this? The trial lawyers! All right. "How dare you try to limit lawsuits?" is the answer to the question, ladies and gentlemen. The trial lawyers. This is a potential goldmine out there waiting to be raked in. I'm glad you asked.

They are against Barack Obama's idea to fund programs that teach children the difference between appropriate contact with adults and inappropriate contact. Since children are easily confused, this would certainly help them defend themselves. And he's not saying it's mandatory, a parent does not have to place their kid in any program like this at their school. It's a matter of choice. He simply believes these programs are healthy and deserve funding.

What is the Republicans' problem with that? Or is this just another lame attack from an irrelevant party whose ship is sinking?

Ok, so I'm only 15 and I won't be voting in the 2008 presidential election, but I will be able to vote in a couple years.
I just don't understand why people vote in the presidential elections when their votes don't even count. I mean, we (as the public) don't decide who is president..the electoral college does! Do they sway their votes sometimes to match the popular vote? or do they just vote for who they want no matter who won the popular vote?
I'm just wondering if i should even bother when I'm old enough to vote for president. I'm going to vote for more local candidates because those votes actually do matter..but for president..idk. I just feel like its pointless when some other people are deciding who's gonna be president anyway.

It seems as though Bush can do whatever he wants. He refuses (or so it seems) to give pardon to two border patrol agents who shot an illegal trying to smuggle drugs into the US. That is pathetic. This administration has lied, deceived, and destroyed the middle class. Yet the American people don't seem to care very much, pop culture - sex, celebrities, and parties is all they want. I am making a generalization, I know not all of you are like that, but it's an accurate generalization.

One last story to keep in mind. Several decades ago there was a protest in New York because some subway station raised the price by one cent. Everyone went ahead and protested there the next day.

Bush's administration has destroyed the country in every possible way, and where is the protest?

President bush knows that he is losing the support of the americans because of the war. Why won't he listen to his people and pull out the soldiers? Even if it's a few of them.
