The Vatican has the smallest standing army in the world. It is the only army that the Swiss may serve in other than the Swiss National Army. I for get how big it is but I think it limited to either 75 or to 200 troops total and that is it. The more I think about the more I am sure it is 75 troops. A darn small army! Plus they use uniforms designed by Micheal Angelo and carry Halberds. Those are really nasty weapons but not up to assault rifles.

The canadian army is hardly the weakest. It sure is nothing near the top (It cant compare to USA, Russia, China, France, India, Britan, ect) but it could more then handle alot of south american and african nations.

Weakest would perhaps be Vanuatu, which if I recall, has no military period, and I believe Panama is the same. (I could be wrong there, but there are some countries with no military period)

There are several countries without armies. Mostly these are either tiny states such as Andorra and Monaco, or islands such as Greneda and Palau. The largest of these is Iceland and Panama, neither of which have an official army, but nonetheless have a police force and a coast guard which could mount a minor defense of their countries.

Simple, Buthan... They are not even using guns there yet... The most outdated country of the world actually...
There is also small island countries like the Salomon`s, Nauru and on... But Buthan has never been a protectorate before nor colonized by European countries...
P.S: Japan has officially no army, BUT has a SDF (self defense forces) and have been in Iraq... So...

To hard to tell. Many small nations have police/internal defense forces. They have limited capability in projecting offensive power. Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cameroon to name a few.

Costa Rica:
It has no army other than armies of ants.
Fortunately, it has a rather powerful ally that would squash anyone that trampled this peace loving country.

The one who relies on their army the most as an only resource, and not as a last possible resort.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

considering an Army is basically a "stone" - the one with the proudest (pride also a sin), largest, and most powerful has the greatest trespass and is therefore the weakest

in that regard I'd say North Korea's is the weakest - as their presence is based most entirely on fear - and the psychosis of Kim Jong Il - and hence rather directionless

but the USA's ain't far behind - despite the grandeur - it's by and large unnecessary - war is never an answer to anything

you can still "speak softly and carry a big stick" but the stick doesn't have to be a uranium-tipped tactical-strike stick that costs $10 million per stick when all that is needed is a 'whap' in most cases - or in the case of the war on terror - a stick isn't even the right tool - nor is a conventional military

What ever that country is ,it also has to be the most CHRISTIAN country in the world.

The original Christians from Christ up to around 300 A.D. were PACIFISTS .They would see themselves killed before killing.

And you thought that the US was the greatest Christian nation in the world I quess.

NOT BY A LONG SHOT .
