When you plead guilty to anything, it most definitely goes on your record. The only time things don't show up on your record is when the ticket is dismissed.
Yes, your insurance will go up, but you can take the defensive driving course to lower it. Unfortunately, you cannot take the course to dismiss the ticket since you already pleaded guilty.
You won't have a bad driving record for this one offense (I don't know if you have any other offenses), but you will have some points added. Within 2-4 years (depending on the state you live in), these points will be removed.
Just try to avoid doing anything that would cause you to have any more citations and your driving record will be okay.

You pleaded guilty - they set the fine ...
You should hold on to the driving school for your next offense as going now will not do a thing for you ... the damage was done when you pleaded guilty without asking AT THAT TIME to do the drivers school.
Insurance companies do not care if you LIVE in the classroom - they will still charge you higher rates - that is their business and how they make their exhorted funds.
Save it for next time - it will come whether you are guilty or not - you will get tickets - that is the cops job whom have a quota to fill.

once you pleaded guilty, you gave up the right for deferral. When your insurance comes for renewal, expect an increase in your premium.

When you pleaded Guilty, - you said "YES" to all the questions you asked. Bad as that is, it could be WORSE; -you do it again, & you could lose your Licence... :(
