The Constitution granted the Federal Government specific Powers
Legistlative: The 18 enumerated powers in Article I Section 8, and only those. http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.articlei.html#section8
Executive: The 7 enumerated powers in Article II Section 2, and only those. http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.articleii.html#section2
Judicial: To interpret the Constuitutionality of laws and lower court rulings. NOT THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF.

I personally find that the Constitution comes down to this basic Premise:
We control the government, not the other way around. The Government is supposed to have our permission to do things, not the other way around.

So, can we re-claim our country?

Bush claims that the constitution gives the executive branch of government "inherent power" to do "whatever it takes" to protect the people of the United States.

Don't remember this in the Constitution, do you?

Currently, any baby born on american soil automatically becomes an American citizen. Many illegal immigrants have been taking advantage of this and having children here, which according to the law makes them legal citizens. Should this law be done away with? if so, what affect would this have on the immigration situation we are facing in America?

This was about democracy and freedom right?

And is the democracy we gave them - conditional on what they do with it?

are you willing to examine the other side of the argument?

Below is a link to a film on Google Video which shows the Swindle, and after each argument made in the film, a scientist from Edinburgh explains what was correct and what was incorrect about that argument.

Global warming skeptics are often complaining that those of us who accept anthropogenic global warming are unwilling to examine their evidence. Are you willing to examine ours?

In fact, global warming acknowledgers have not only watched but also critiqued the Swindle:

Are global warming skeptics willing to do the same for this film?

Is Congress about to grow a set and start reeling in Bush's continued attempts at grabbing power unconstitutionally? Our founding fathers specifically structured the Constitution so Congress could prevent the power grab that this administration has undertaken. When will our representatives stop being cowardly politicians and start acting like statesmen and patriots?

Firstly, thanks to jeeper_peeper321 for finding the link to the poll.

Members of the military are evenly split over whether the Iraq war is a separate military operation, or part of the war on terror. They seem to think troop levels in Iraq are just about right, but we don't have nearly enough in Afghanistan. Another interesting tidbit: While a small majority believes Bush has thier best interests at heart, a clearer majority will take the military leadership over Bush's any day.
