Honor, how many times are you going to ask this question?
Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gave Congress the power to lay and collect taxes. The 16th amendment clarified that Congress has the power to lay and collect an income tax without apportionment. Income taxes are INDIRECT in the Constitutional sense.
The above gave Congress the power, the Internal Revenue Code which was enacted by Congress and signed into law by a President is the law covering income taxes. It is the application and enforcement of that law that forces citizens to pay income taxes.

U.S Constitution, Amendment XVI
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
What astounds me is that, first of all, people are so willing to make fools of themselves, repeating the rantings of crackpots, rather than doing even basic research.
Secondly, that so many believe that, if income taxes were repealed, they would make more money. Do you really think employers are going to continue to pay the money that went to taxes? Are those who contract goods and services going to continue to pay fees and prices that include an allowance for taxes? Of course not.

A piece of paper, or actually several of them does not force anyone to do anything. The constitution does grant the congress the power to levy and collect taxes. So it does, in fact allow for us to be taxed.

All forms of Governments are legal crooks. They are robbing from us all year and then again at tax time. All they are doing is getting richer and spending our money, by overpaying for stuff. This society NEED to wake up and take back the power that the people gave to all levels of government! We are not our driver license number, our social security number, birth certificate number, or any numbers that you can think of. We are the numbers on the back of your social security card! We are commodities, that is sold and traded, just like the stock market.

Because it's under a separate act that became law during WW2. Sorry I don't know the name - it was enacted to help pay for the war and never repealed (I'm assuming your talking about taxes deducted).
