Do you think we should impeach Bush/Chaney and then fine them for 1 billion dollars each?

Bush is our "official" commander and chief, Chaney the unofficial, and just as they did for our current veterans, put them out without benefits, and send them a HUGE BILL for the PREVIOUS PERSONALITY DISORDERS prior to getting into office that we did not detect.

To bad we can not give them a LIFETIME of nightmares and a purple heart for the physical disabilities they recieved, as the 20,000-30,000 veterans are also recieving.

Both Bush and Chaney agree that its a good idea, so do I, so lets give it to them!

Are you still against giving illegal aliens amnesty?

The Senate, with the same sponsors, are going to pull an end around on America. While they shelved the bill for now, they are going to legalize all illegal aliens under the 2007 Farm Bill Reauthorization.

We are going to have to tell them again, NO, and this time I think we should tell them that all who support this AMNESTY are not going to be re-elected.

If you are guilty of an offense, isn't it malpractice for an attorney to try to get you off instead of advising you to plead guilty?

I know many people are against the war in Iraq. I am an Operation Iraqi Freedom Vet who opposes the war, but I would hate to think my country opposes me because what I was called to do. I live in a small but patriotic town and was treated great. Is the rest of the country as supportive?

Obstruction of Justice is still a crime.

Even Nixon's Lawyer John Dean chose the Rule of Law over Party loyality.

It took a little coaching but he chose not to Obstruct Justice like Bush's cronies.

Say you have been found guilty of killing Joe Schmoe, even though his body was never found. You are sentenced to Twenty years and you serve everyday of it.
Now you are free and you are walking down the street. You see Joe Schmoe. In a fit of uncontrolable rage you grab him and kill him.
Should and could you be tried again for killing him?

When playing and defending Party Politics, is more important than preserving America. Isn't that a public display of disdain for the Constitution???

...I love my RedsState but I sure do hate this Nation...

Did Americans say the pledge so many times it became meaningless.

I pledge allegiance to the flag

I'm against the death penalty - I was on the fence for a long time, not knowing which way to lean. But when I thought about it I came up with, what I think, are 3 good reasons "why not". They are:

1. If it turns out the guy was actually innocent - whoops, we killed the wrong guy, oh well!
2. I think that being in jail - NOT FUN - is a worse punishment than dying.
3. What was that that Ghandi said about "an eye for an eye"?!

Well that's what I think!
What do you guys think? And why?

I got this statement from my CIVICS class:

"if found not guilty of the offence, you cannot be tried for it again, and if found guilty and punished for the offence, you cannot be tried or punished for it again."

so it must b true, but it sounds kinda messed UP to me...becuz i'm thinking this:

So if i'm found innocent of not killing someone, i could go out and kill a person and won't worry about it, since i cannot be tried for it again...
and...
If found guilty of killing someone, and me going to jail and doing the time, once i get out, i could kill someone again with no worries, since i can't be tried or punished for it again...

THE PRE-WAR MISSION WAS TO RID IRAQ OF WMD

Bush: “Our mission is clear in Iraq. Should we have to go in, our mission is very clear: disarmament.” [3/6/03]

AFTER THE WAR BEGAN, THE MISSION EXPANDED

Bush: “Our cause is just, the security of the nations we serve and the peace of the world. And our mission is clear, to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein’s support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people.” [3/22/03]

Bush: “Our forces have been given a clear mission: to end a regime that threatened its neighbors and the world with weapons of mass destruction and to free a people that had suffered far too long.” [4/14/03]

THEN THE MISSION WAS COMPLETE

Bush: “On Thursday, I visited the USS Abraham Lincoln, now headed home after the longest carrier deployment in recent history. I delivered good news to the men and women who fought in the cause of freedom: Their mission is complete, and major combat operations in Iraq have ended.” [5/3/03]

BUT THEN IT CONTINUED AGAIN

Bush: “The United States and our allies will complete our mission in Iraq.” [7/30/03]

THEN THE MISSION WAS TO DEVELOP A FREE IRAQ

Bush: “That has been our mission all along, to develop the conditions such that a free Iraq will emerge, run by the Iraqi citizens.” [11/4/03]

Bush: “We will see that Iraq is free and self-governing and democratic. We will accomplish our mission.” [5/4/04]

AND TO TRAIN THE IRAQI TROOPS

Bush: “And our mission is clear there, as well, and that is to train the Iraqis so they can do the fighting; make sure they can stand up to defend their freedoms, which they want to do.” [6/2/05]

Bush: “We’re making progress toward the goal, which is, on the one hand, a political process moving forward in Iraq, and on the other hand, the Iraqis capable of defending themselves. And we will — we will complete this mission for the sake of world peace.” [6/20/05]

THEN IT SHIFTED TO ADVANCING DEMOCRACY

Bush: “We will stay as long as necessary to complete the mission. … Advancing the ideal of democracy and self-government is the mission that created our nation — and now it is the calling of a new generation of Americans.” [11/30/05]

AND PROTECTING AMERICA FROM TERRORISTS

Bush: “In the coming days, there will be considerable reflection on the removal of Saddam Hussein from power and our remaining mission in Iraq…By helping the Iraqi people build a free and representative government, we will deny the terrorists a safe haven to plan attacks against America.” [3/11/06]

Bush: “We will finish the mission. By defeating the terrorists in Iraq, we will bring greater security to our own country. And when victory is achieved, our troops will return home with the honor they have earned.” [3/18/06]

THEN THE MISSION WAS PROVIDING SECURITY FOR THE IRAQI POPULATION

Bush: “In fact, we have a new strategy with a new mission: helping secure the population, especially in Baghdad. Our plan puts Iraqis in the lead.” [1/13/07]

Bush: “[I]t’s the combination of providing security in neighborhoods through these joint security stations, and training that is the current mission we’re going through, with a heavy emphasis on security in Baghdad.” [4/10/07]

AND NOW?

Bush: “It’s a new mission. And David Petraeus is in Iraq carrying it out. Its goal is to help the Iraqis make progress toward reconciliation — to build a free nation that respects the rights of its people, upholds the rule of law, and is an ally against the extremists in this war.” [6/28/07 ]

How many times is that, and how many MORE times will the Decider redecide what the right decision is?
