The silent majority of Americans support the troops, and many of them support the war, too !
You seem to be more concerned about what people think, than what you believe. Does this mean that if you fgound that most people you ask, support the war, that you would, too?
You need to understand the politics of the islamic jihad and what they are trying to accomplish against this great nation. I believe that once you grasp this, you will not be as negative about protecting our freedoms !

From what I have seen, you most definitely are supported.
You were sent to Iraq by President Bush and by congressional decree. Your life and your coworkers lives depends directly upon how well you all do your jobs. You didn't ask to go, you were sent.
Most Americans do oppose the war in Iraq and want you and your colleagues home, safe. That does not mean by opposing the war, we oppose the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who are there. As a culture, you are well loved.
Yes, there are some people who will chant protests and poo-pooh all and everything that is going on in Iraq, but those are a very small minority.
The only time we would have problems is if some atrocity became known (like the torture chambers we created in some of those few POW camps). We trust you will use your common sense and your commanding officers to not resort to this kind of behavior. We trust this kind of action is very rare and those who are responsible get severely punished for their actions.
My stepson returned from Iraq two years ago. Our next door neighbor has been deployed to Iraq, and our son-in-law will be deployed in September of this year. We have a yellow ribbon in our tree for them, and will continue to keep that ribbon on the tree until all are home safe. Thank you for your hard work.

I may have fully agreed with the war when it first started, but I somewhat oppose now. I'm half-and-half, but I whole heartedly support the troops.
No one should be judged soley on what they were called to do. Your job was to support your country no matter what-through thick and thin-, and that's what you were doing. If anybody disagrees with that, then I say let them walk in your shoes. Let them put on your combat boots. Maybe then, just maybe, they'll see differently.

I believe Americans are still supporting the Troops- why wouldn't they? You will always run into a few ignorant a$$holes, but I truely believe the majority are for our Hero's.
I personally can't thank them enough for all they have sacrificed.

Begging and pleading toddlers are not unique to the midsection East. you will detect that sorry difficulty in each continent. making use of your good judgment, US troops might desire to be in Congo, Rwanda, El Salvador, Brazil, Indonesia, Timor, Burma, Cambodia ... the record is huge. And it does not contain some factors in the borders of the u . s .. sure, it is quite traumatic. Are you suggesting that many human beings are conceited and overindulged? particular they're. i might guess those smuglets signify maximum folk of folk who blindly stick to the instructions of the Ruling Political occasion who want you to have faith that the U. S. had a morally justifiable reason to bypass interior the 1st place, yet because of the fact that that grew to become out to be fake, now you're to overlook that and concentration on a contrived want for the U. S. to stay indefinitely. u . s . has many "freedoms", in all hazard extra effective than maximum different countries, however the definition of "freedom" isn't absolute. quite some the "freedoms" interior the U. S. are limited or sacrificed for the sake of a feeling of protection or for the sake of political convenience. And the u . s . honestly isn't the sole united states interior the international that pulls immigrants, as a lot because of the fact the smuglets in that united states want to have faith that's. As for "helping our troops", I recommend which you do no longer undertstand the belief. conflict isn't a soccer interest. "helping our troops" isn't a count number of cheering in unison. help might desire to selection from something as profound as figuring out to serve to something so undemanding as sending care programs. help additionally skill showing appreciate to an honorably serving member of the U. S. militia, inspite of the political blundering that have been given him deployed interior the 1st place. you're, probably, due such honor. you may acquire that honor even from people who do no longer purchase the motives of politicians who created the area we are in. To the source of the remark "no longer liking the actuality"; you would be wanting the actuality in basic terms as quickly as I provide it to you! carry your breath. yet another thumbs down.

Absolutely!!!!!! I am an Operation Desert Shield/Storm vet, but personally oppose our presence in Iraq at this time.
From my experience as a soldier, I know full well that when you are told to go, it is one's duty to do so whether they agree with the political decisions or not.
Thank you and all our troops for your service to our country!!!!!!!!

America as a whole does. The left never did. Just ask Clinton how much he "loathed the military." [an actual quote from his letter to the draft board in the Sixties.]

Most of the people who oppose the war only pretend to support you.
They claim to support you but gleefully repeat the latest casualty numbers
They claim to support you but they repeat every accusation made against you.
They claim to support you - but call you a criminal by claiming that the war is 'illegal.'
They are not worth defending.
