Do you think we should impeach Bush/Chaney and then fine them for 1 billion dollars each?

Bush is our "official" commander and chief, Chaney the unofficial, and just as they did for our current veterans, put them out without benefits, and send them a HUGE BILL for the PREVIOUS PERSONALITY DISORDERS prior to getting into office that we did not detect.

To bad we can not give them a LIFETIME of nightmares and a purple heart for the physical disabilities they recieved, as the 20,000-30,000 veterans are also recieving.

Both Bush and Chaney agree that its a good idea, so do I, so lets give it to them!

For what? You have to have an impeachable offense to impeach, not a disagreement with how things are going.

I think if we have ever had a president and vice president who deserved impeachment, these are the guys. Unwarranted wiretaps and searches. Illegal imprisonment without due process or even charges. Outing a covert CIA agent just to punish her husband for telling the truth. A president openly declaring himself above the law with 'signing statements'. Refusal to recognize constitutional limits to the executive branch--and this after taking an oath on the Bible to protect and defend the Constitution. Refusal to submit to congressional oversight, also prescribed by the Constitution. Starting a war against a country that never threatened us, based on lies. Incredible corruption in war profiteering. And just downright incompetence and inability to do the job.

This is as close as we've come to having a dictatorship in the US. Bush and Cheney have created precedents that future presidents could use to do even more damage to the rule of law, in fact what's really scary is that none of the candidates for the '08 election, not even the Democrats, have publicly announced 'If I get elected, I won't do this stuff'.

I don't know about fining them, though. I don't think either of them are rich enough to pay for the damage they've done. I don't think some jail time would be out of the question though.

I think it is way too late to start impeachment proceedings. They take a very long time and are extremely expensive.
Also, in W's defense (not that I approve of him, mind you), there were many congressmen and senators who voted to have this war. Yes, he deceived them with badly distorted and twisted information, but I think History will properly castigate W's presidential legacy.

What I think can happen is that congress can tie W's hands by keep sending bills to the president for him to mandate a timeline whenever President Bush asks for more funds and troops to send to Iraq. By creating a log jam and also by allowing the Republicans to espouse the fighting notion will continue to weaken the Republican party and thus end up with a Democratic President and an overwhelmingly Democratic congress.

Going back to my previous point of history, I do believe that President W Bush will not rank higher and probably lower than that of Ulysses S. Grant's presidency. That presidency is considered to be the worst two term legacy in US history. He won't, however drop below Millard Fillmore, Benjamin Pierce and James Buchanan.

UUUUMMMM!! no!!!!!! people signed up to go and fight for the war on terror they knew what they were getting themselves into. ya maybe some people don't always agree with what he does and what our troops are doing but that doesn't mean that you should try to impeach him. i mean let's see you be president and run a whole freaken country. he is under a lot of pressure that 90% of the world couldn't handle i mean i know that i'm only in highschool but hey i know how hard it is for these people. maybe you should try and walk in his shoes before you judge his decisions. and like the other guy said you have to have something to impeach him for. and by the way you are a freaken MORON.

Not at all. I think we should put them on death row for crimes against humanity. I'm not even talking about the crimes against civilians in the middle east, we're at war and deaths can be expected. But they have reduced our rights here in the great US of A while simultaneously lying to us about how we're more 'secure' than ever when the only plots that have been uncovered since have nothing to do with the security restructuring OR the patriot act.

From a surplus to a deficit monetarily isn't a great thing either. Not saying Clinton was great for giving us a surplus, that was primarily the dot com boom. I'd just like to know that my governmental services are going to be around in 20 years, and with the current state of things. . . I'm not so sure.

I can't agree completely with everything you said but ,yes, the president should be, and should by now have been, impeached. I'm not as certain that the Senate should convict, but they should have had their chance by now.
As for fines, I don't know. But there should already be a special prosecuter in place investigating the possiblity of criminal activity in the White House.

schmidt, it's a little late don't ya' think? You mentioned GW and Dick? They're terms would be up by then? Like that little senator Kucinish(?), said, let's go after Dick first? If you got rid of Dick, you'd still have GW? If you got rid of GW, you'd still have Dick? Even if it were possible to get rid of both, you have Nancy?? The time has come and gone. Give up on it.

AMEN TO THAT!!!!!!!!!!! The Bush administration is chock full of law breaking sociopaths who are in it for their own, personal gain. You can bet Cheney egged Bush (who has the IQ of a retarded flea) into war so he could have Halliburton rebuild the country and make billions. Why do you think they moved Halliburton to Dubai? TO AVOID PROSECUTION, that's why!!!!!!!!!!

No. I think we should make them live in a shitty tent in Iraq for 13 months with 10 other people (like I did). Then let them come home for 9 months only to get shipped back to a shitty desert(this time Afghanistan) for 15 more months. I think that would be a good start to their punishment.

Yes, WE SHOULD!!!

He is responsible on invading a soverign nation without the U.N. approval.

His proposion to the war to the public was based on the lies.

Did you know this? According to the Time magazine, Bush was planning to invade Iraq EVEN BEFORE THE 9/11.

I am really hoping Bush would be impeached, and stand a war criminal trail.
