Don't you ever wonder how much we could accomplish if we really started working together. We are not the world's cops - we need to take care of our country, each other and, every now and then, mind our own business. I wonder what would happen if we didn't go into a country until they ACTUALLY INVITE US or UNTIL THE ACTUALLY ASK FOR OUR HELP???

Give it some thought before you answer - I've heard all the Rep and Dem rhetoric, so, if you don't mind, drop the posturing. How about some unifying responses - how could we honestly find some common ground? I would really like to know.

The cons have made a big deal about the new "conservative Supreme Court" and inform us Bush's "legacy will "last a generation.

As of now, the Court is split 5-4--and no more conservative justices are going toget in for at least 5 years--that should be obvious to even them.

Scaliea--current tenure:21 years
Kennedy--current tenure--19 years
Thomas--current tenure--16 years

If any one of these retires--the alance tips back to the moderate/liberal

Now--what do you figure the odds are that's going to happen?

The democrans and republicrats aren't making sense any more. They all sound alarmingly alike.
Since the last great influx of immigrants in 1905 our representatives have illegally frozen their numbers at 435 despite the fact our population has tripled in the past 100 years. The "terror" of European immigrants has long faded, and the new "terror" of Mexican immigrants taken its place, but our rights as citizens continues to be abridged.
Thomas Jefferson wrote 1 per 30,000 into law, we now have one representative per 750,000 citizens.
Perhaps it is time to change:

return to 1 House rep per 30,000 citizens..............
which will allow unafilliated voters a voice.............
unafilliated candidates to give you a choice.....
we are Not a democracy, but we have become Not a republic..........no one represents 1/3 of this country

shouldnt fat people be taxed for their weight? that is of course, if they dont have glandular illnesses or other problems that thye cant control. the vast majority of them have a choice, they just decide that being fat is alright.
is this even possible? in america, it seems ironically that the poor are fatter than the rich, so it would be difficult to tax them.
the tax might encourage them to live a healthier lifestyle, and we will enjoy much more the views on the beaches.

What is a country that is most likely to declare a full scale war on the United States of America and could even invade them. A big country and no small countries in the middle eastern area that the United States could step on. This is just a fictional thing so yeah...

Ok so I'm making a youtube video and have a directors acount. The catch with the directors acount is that it is illegal to upload copyrighted materials and my account could get deleted. I want to put music in my video, is there any way around the copyright issue? I heard that it is legal to use up to 8 seconds of a copyright song before it is illegal, is that true?

People sometimes positively argue that there are lots of reasons Great Britain should leave the EU and become a new State in the USA.

The EU is doing pretty well at the moment... should we invite a few of the states of the USA to leave and join the EU instead? I think the blue flag with a circle of gold stars flying over shops, house, and businesses in somewhere like Texas would be positively welcomed.

It has been a few weeks since we have had full force. Do our soldiers deserve at least a few months to win this? Why should we trust democrats to protect us when they call our surge a failure before we even have a chance to do it?

It seems that our nation is divided by two parties and each side argues that what the other party leaders did is worse than what the leaders of their party did.

Aren’t we supposed to be looking for leaders that are of good morale character? Why do you think Americans have become complacent (with disgraceful acts surrounding national leaders) and not only accept incompetence and immoral behavior, but actually defend it in the name of our political parties?

people complain about healthcare getting more and more expensive. but arent small drugstore chains helping to relieve some pressure for those who dont have health insurance? you cant really deny it, some of the examinations they offer are more complete than at private hospitals.
the state of georgia now has the toughest laws against illegals in the nation. and because of this, the publically funded Grady hospital might actually survive, instead of being shut down because of the flood of illegals coming in without insurance or anything. now they are only elligible for emergency service. getting rid of illegals or denying them service might make it easier for legals to pay for healthcare, and easier to get it.
do we really need nationalized healthcare? we just need to set/enfore immigration laws and provide more private sector alternatives.

I am in a complete outrage and I just don't know what to do about this situation. I have been renting a 3 bedroom apartment in West babylon for the past year. A very close friend of mine who is black was visiting me from NC for 10 days, I told my landlord a week in advance that she was comming, and he had no problem with it. When she came just today he freaked out becaust she is black and made a horifing statement that first you brin spanish people into my house(my husband is hispanic)Then you bring black people in. He told me not only can she not stay here, but I have to find a new place to live! I just don't know what to do about this, if I fight him what stops him from raising my rent and chasing me away, at the same time I feel I have an obligation to fight for what is right. Please help!

Does anyone realize that Hillary became a socialist early in her life, while still a student at Wellesley? And that she has followed that line ever since? Does anyone know she feels we do not know enough to take care of our own children, but she wants the government to take over parental rights? Does anyone know Hillary is for big government and less freedom on the individual level? Does anyone care ?
