My friend wants to sell her car to me, but it's still not paid off. she want me to give her money to pay of the rest of the car, and when she receives the title from the dealership, she will transfer the title to me instead of her. In that case, i don't have to pay any taxes and such. Is this a good idea? should i write a contract just in case she doesn't do as she says?

If you are seen driving while using a hand held cell phone (without an accident being involved) the fine is $285.00 and the traffic officers are looking with extra diligence because it means a lot of extra money for the state and local governments. If an accident is involved, the fine goes thru the roof and then the insurance companies also get to raise your rates because while you had the accident, you were BREAKING THE LAW!.

Let me get this “right”… to join the Republican Party I need to first have the ability to fallow blindly, then turn a blind eye to justice, the Constitution and the will of the people?

After that, will I have any self-esteem left?

It took the better part of a decade to get our Constitution and form of government together.

Iraq was where the US was in the beginning. They are the first freely elected government in an Arab country. We were the first democracy.

The point of the death sentence is to punish them for their crime, right? So then why are they simply given a shot and put to sleep forever, or left in a cell with comfy treatment (that costs millions!) and alive?

Shouldn't they have to feel the same pain as their victims; you know, an eye for an eye.

Thank you for your input!

whats the difference between politics in america and europe? the only one i can find is that here, theres no nationalized healthcare. schools are generally nationalized, and theres plenty of welfare to subsidize drug addicts. in america, like many european nations, pension for the elderly is getting harder and harder to pay. and even now under bush's tax cuts, taxes are high enough to screw the middle class in the US. i would say america is already socialist...

I hired an attorney in another state to represent me in a misdemeanor (trespassing) case. I've never met him, but he seemed to have solid credentials and he has a huge Web site. I mailed him a check for $1,000 as a retainer. Since then, he has done little if anything. The court clerk Web page says the case is still open. When I call his office, I never get to talk to him, only his paralegal, who usually sounds confused about my case and sometimes not even familiar with who I am. This has been dragging on for ONE YEAR. I already paid him, so I don't want to hire another lawyer, and I don't wan't to threaten to report him, since I don't want it to get even more unpleasant between us. But how do I impress upon the lawyer that I am impatient and very unhappy with the lack of movement on the case? (It would be good to hear from some lawyers on this one.)
