Doesn’t the lack of universal insurance or affordable health care…
1. Stifle entrepreneurial risk? Who goes into business for themselves if health costs are a risk to their capital, families or homes?
2. Destabilize the low skilled and entry level workforce? A kid gets sick the family loses their home or car and can’t get to work.
3. Force businesses to tax themselves at uncontrollable market prices to cover health insurance for their employees?
4. Cause more bankruptcies than credit cards or sub-prime mortgages?

I frequent a private "bar" and there is a membership fee. I paid the membership fee, but have been told by the owner that some of the other customers "ex-boyfriends" do not want me there anymore. Can they legally kick me out? And if I make the same complaint about the "ex-boyfriends" will they have to do the same to them? Do I have any legal rights?

I bought a motorcycle fender. They shipped promptly. I sent them an email to ask if they could adjust the cost to reflect a subtraction of 25 dollars for the bounced check fee and I wanted them to provide proof of payment etc. They did not respond to my email.

Anyone think that he will get a walk on the drug charges because of who his dad is?

Will he become the new poster child of the war on prescription drugs?

Does anyone really need an arrest of a "Hollyweird" type to "highlight" the fact that there is a prescription drug problem?

The last question is....how many people are tired of the media treating the american public like they are stupid?

My uncle is the executor of my grandparents estate and the Will states the the assest are to be devided equally between my father and him (a strait 50/50). My uncle has refused to communicate with my dad and has sent letters to the realestate agent and title company demanding that they write one check for the propertiy being sold to him; moreover, he tells them that they cannot give him (my father) the name of the estate attorny(who drafted the Will), nor the title company or any information whatsoever regarding the sale of this property, or the other property that is listed.
What he is planning to do is keep a 100% of the proceeds so he can buy a house cash as he has been living with my grandparents, and feels that although my father has a mortgage he should not. Then when and if the cabin sells ( the second property) split that with my dad to even things up, whenever that happens.

Some people have a lot of negative things to say about socializing healthcare. If you think it is so bad, what is the better option?

Personally I think healthcare is a right, especially in an affluent modern country like America. And from what I understand about Clinton's plan, there will still be competition and choices available for insurance providers. Far too many people are uninsured in this country.

Bush once again uses his king-like powers (this time denying Congress the right to ask two former aides about the firing of federal prosecutors).

Does it appear this administration has something to hide?

over the past 7 years, i've noticed all elements of american politics have been lumped into 2 camps:

democrats vs republicans
liberals vs conservatives
good vs evil
right vs wrong
us vs them

and so on..

has all political thought been reduced to us vs them and black vs white?

and why all the team politics?

i don't understand why everything has to be lumped into two sets of generalities. nothing is ever that simple. nothing.

The reality about sex is that it is to reproduce. And since anyone with a brain knows that children are much better off raised in a family with a Father and a Mother under one roof, it makes the most sense to teach kids that sex really needs to wait until you are married, and the consequences of not doing so should be clearly illustrated.

But instead liberal teachers talk about sex like it is just like getting a beer with a friend. That leads to rampant premarital sex followed by unplanned pregnancies, followed by either abortions or juvenile delinquents raised by a single working mom.

Why can't liberals be honest instead of encouraging kids to 'be safe' when they go engage in risky behavior.
I didn't even go into the risks of STDs (which are eliminated by committed monogimous relationships)

Last evening, I was thinking that our pet Black Lab had an ID chip inserted just under her skin and got to thinking that why couldn't we somehow implant in the soldiers going overseas to Iraq and Afghanistan especially some kind of tracking devise that would be under the skin but that satellites or whatever would be able to pick up their signal in case of a kidnapping. Is that totally crazy?
