Don't get me wrong, I think global warming has been used as a political tool to gain votes, and has been seriously blown out of proportion. I think there's probably a natural cycle to the earth's temperature, but I don't think our SUV's are going to cause the world to end like some people are claiming.
I'm buying bamboo flooring for my house, not because they're the most eco-friendly flooring, but because they're inexpensive and they look nice. I don't drive an SUV, not because I think they're ending the world, but because I can't afford to put gas in one.
I use fluorescent bulbs, not because I want to be green, but because I want to save money and change my bulbs less.
SO - maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but wouldn't it be a much better political tool to point out the financial gain of doing things that are environmentally friendly, versus alienating everyone who doesn't jump on the bandwagon?? I think most people are reasonable, they just don't like to be insulted

Or does the fact that this may be gambling, mean that the contract is void?

People who experience abuse at the hand of one or more officers of the law often times do not report the incident. Why?
For the same reasons that some women who are raped do not report the rape.
They fear retaliation and or the officer that they report it to will treat them as though they had it coming or they lying.
Many of the questions that are answered by law enforcement officers in Yahoo answers regarding police brutality/misconduct proves that this is in fact the case.
The law enforcement officer does not answer the questions with supportive or helpful advice but rather with threats and inuendos.
I am sure that there are many police persons who are good honest cops that truly want to do what they have sworn to do and that they do their job in a ethical manner.
I am also sure that there are people who have lied about experiencing abuse at the hand of a cop.
But, does this mean that we are to believe that every cop is innocent and every complaint against a cop is a lie?

Blue Peter ie The B.B.C. have been fined £50,000 for the phone in scam they were found guilty of.
THIS MONEY WILL BE PAID BY THE LICENCE PAYERS!
In other words you and I!
So if we are paying the fine then logically we are guilty of a criminal offence and now have a criminal record!

I think I get it now, work hard, be successful, enjoy the fruits of your labor but don't forget to look over your shoulder: We're watching you, because we know the right profit you should make and we know when you need to contribute more to the welfare state.

Anyone surprised by Obama's 'sudden' rise to prominence? I mean, this man was not known by the majority of Americans just a few short months ago. What happened to bring him from someone we barely know, to a leading contender for the highest office in this nation? In just a few months? This is almost unheard of in politics today.

failed America in numerous ways? Libs are stopping us from winning in Iraq. Kennedy and the libs want to give the illegals amnesty. Libs won't allow the President to secure our borders and on and on. Funny part about all that rhetoric. Six years after nine-eleven and with complete control of government by republicans, nothing was done about any of these issues. Iraq is still a mess, the borders are not secured and the President tried to push the illegal amnesty through the Senate. Isn't it time to take some accountability instead of constantly trying to blame the libs for their own failures?

Does anyone know of a website that clearly lists each potential candidates stances on various issues? I was never very politically active, so I do not know that much about each candidate, but I would like to learn. Naturally, I would want to vote for a candidate that has stances similar to mine. So are there any websites that clearly list each candidates stances on various issues ( maybe in some kind of chart form? ) so I can compare each one?

On June 13 the Court of Appeals ruled that the Bush Administration CANNOT throw American citizens in jail without charge.

Hooray for justice and freedom.

The idea was, after all, Karl Rove's. Under the guise of anti-terrorist hysteria, this illegal use of the partisan hunting of Democrats.

Your thoughts?

reason being the govenment seems to be putting the true people of this country at risk from these fanatics.i personally think that if you are at war with a country(rogue states)why would you let people from these countrys enter the uk and walk about are streets knowing they have come here to blow us up.i know that some are genuine immagrants but surely it makes sense to vet these people or just let women and children claim asylum instead.even where i live they are fighting each other now over just being a diffrent race,we dont need these sort of people its obvious to me and for those people who dont agree with me on this i say this to you.ive met your type before and deep down you know you dont like them so dont start telling me im a racist because im not ive got a colured television at home.thanks for reading il be looking forward to your views.
