"Jody" is that despicable coward who tries to cheat with an Army guy's woman. He uses various methods and is known by them. He can be *very helpful* to the poor wife back home or an anti-war type.
There's lawnmower jody who mows the grass to get dat a**.

There's romance jody who lights the candles to get a handle.

Such BS answers. Jody is not the reason you get a letter, your wife is the reason... Jody is the guy who takes advantage of an already bad marriage. Jody does the soldier a favor. Might as well find out if your wife is capable of cheating on you. If you dont want to get to know Jody, then just make sure your marriage is good before you go.

Jody is the guy who takes care of your woman while you are away on active duty in the military. Its a fictitious name but a real situation.
Many Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Marines have been done in by Jody.

LOL! "Jody" is the imaginary guy or girl that is sleeping with your significant other while you are in training or deployed. Hence, all the popular cadences that "Jody's got your girl". Since adultery is so famous when it comes to military couples.

Jody is the one guy who every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, and Coastguarsman wants to kill. He is the guy who ruins relationships when the service memeber is away.
He is the guy who causes you to get a letter or phone call that starts with the words "I am so sorry".
