What's the biggest problem with all of these people entering our country unlawfully?

Monetary costs. This comes from many sources. A few examples are:

- They clog up our roads and cause more traffic than there should be; therefore, we all pay more for gas, car repairs/maintenance, road repairs/maintenance, etc.

- Many have diseases, like TB, that make them ineligible to come here legally, so we pay more for health insurance when they use our hospitals and don't pay, and when they infect us and we have to miss work and go to the doctor, etc.

- They drive without car insurance, so we pay more to make up for their hit-and-run accidents, and many people are killed each year by them driving wrecklessly or drunk.

- Many are in gangs or other criminal activities, and often shoot/stab Americans who get caught up in it.

These are just a few examples of how illegals cost us money.

My number one concern is just plain numbers.

We are already over 300 million people. Increases in our population unless they are very small will only cause GREAT problems down the road. We only have so much fresh water supplies, gasoline, land, heating oil, natural gas, tax money for schools, medical facilities, etc.

The cost of every limited supply type of item will greatly increase. Just a 10% increase in our population can result in a 20-40% increase in the price of gasoline.

We simply cannot as a nation continue to grow at anywhere near our current rate, let alone allow untold millions in under an amnesty, without dire consequences.

If you have children or grandchildren think about how it would be for them to live in this country with 500-600 million people in it? If the amnesty passed we could have possibly been at those numbers within about 20-40 years.

Not a very good thought!

Well, there are several concerns. One is that children born to illegals are now citizens and entitled to all sorts of benefits. Illegals are also a drain on our resources, often obtaining benefits that some of our legal residents can't even get. Second, if a person is here illegally, then nearly everything they do after that is illegal. They aren't entitled to a drivers license yet they drive. Then when they get into accidents, law abiding citizens have to claim it on their own insurance, driving up costs, 'cause the illegal alien isn't going to have insurance. What about the taxes they don't pay? It's just a never ending drain. OK, so they do jobs no one else wants. Fine, come here legally, sign the guest-book, and pay taxes like everyone else. be an American if you want to be here so bad. Obviously they want to be here, because they risked everything to be here. SIGN THE BOOK!!!

It's not one thing. It's about national security, crime, social services, illegal voting, illegal driving, etc. An open border to the South is a serious threat to our nation. I wish everyone could understand this.

My major concern is the security of our country. We have no clue who is here, why they are here or who else is coming across the border.
There are many, many other reasons, but this one is of most importance to me.
