A widow and grandma spent the morning in jail, arrested for refusing to give a policeman her name when he tried writing her a ticket for failing to water her yard. The woman hasn't watered her lawn in more than a year, and the condition of her yard violates an Orem zoning ordinance.

Tonight, the woman says she is traumatized and shocked that she was hauled to jail, just because she says she can't afford to water her lawn.

Betty Perry says, "I never thought they would ever do anything like that to a person that is 70 years old. I've never bothered anybody, I've never hurt anybody."

I mean it seems a fair point to say that he does not quite believe government should be transparent, trials should not be public, many things should be classified (he has classified more things than any other president)....and basically has had the most secretive government in our history.

That being said, how do you justify the lack of transparency? or ...what is he hiding? what does he not want us to know?

My boyfriend is in the Navy reserves and has been going one weekend every month to work on base. Now he has been offered an promotion at his job but is unsure about taking it because the reserves complicates the situation because there is two weeks of the year he has to work for the reserves. what we both want to know is there anyway for him to get out of going to the reserves every month? This promotion is a good opportunity for him. if there was some way for him to not go to the reserves every month please let us know.

What with all this terroism going on lately i've started to feel really wary around muslim people. I was on the train in birmingham earlier and there was this muslim man fumbling around in a rucksack and i was really quite worried, yet i felt really gulity about feeling this way. I am in no way a racist, i have pakistani, indian and black friends but i cant help but feel untrusting towards muslim strangers now, and i've started to think 'are they safe or would they secretly like me dead?' Does anyone else feel this way? I think it is so wrong but is this what the country is coming to??? What du guys think? x

What are we telling the families who have lost brothers, sister ,mothers, fathers ,uncles , aunts , and loved ones of those killed .

As bad as things may have been under Saddam if given the choice how many Iraqi's would of preferred an assassination to this invasion .

Why pretend to follow international laws and treaties when we can choose to ignore them at anytime we want .

These are the steps I believe the USA should take to resolve the immigration problem:

1. Pass an amnesty law that would give citizenship to most of the illegal immigrants already in the US. Some of the requirements could be:
-Know how to speak and write at least the basics of English
-Have at least a high school education in whatever country or be a current student in the United States.
-Know the history of the United States
-Have no criminal record in any country [[backround check]]

2. Deport all the leftover people that did not meet the requirements

3. SECURLEY close the border in a way that would not allow any more immigrants to come in at all.

RESULT- Only truly hardworking illegals will be in the US. Everyone in the USA would be happy. [[The immigrants will be citizens, and the people who were already citizens wouldn't have any more immigrants coming in the country to worry about.]] PROBLEM RESOLVED
