More than we can imagine. The deaths at amusement parks are of little consequence to the government. but the things "we the people' aren't told about can be devastating to our futures.
How many are aware of the North American Union which turns the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one big country? How many of us know the truth about extraterrestrial invasions that the government keeps secret because they don't know how to deal with it?
How many of us know about Halliburton's government contract to build fourteen (yes - 14!) permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq??
How many of us know that the government has taken away most of our Constitutional rights and freedoms???
How many of us realize that the Federal Reserve Bank is a privately-owned corporation that controls all the money in the United States??
What's worse: how many of us care??
We are more concerned about Britney Spears' love life or Paris Hilton's jail time than we are about the things that matter most to our well-being as a nation. -RKO- 07/09/07

The government is hiding lots of secrets. Because...hiding secret things is a good way to have them not be found.

As far as Six Flags and Disneyland, those would be corperate secrets. And likely, they are as well hidden as the government type.

Why do you think people deserve to know secrets?

The government hides many secrets, true, but people don't need to know many things. And many things shouldn't be known.

A prime example is how the New York Times published an article HIGHLIGHTING the weak points on the body armor used by the military.

Of course, on the flip side, there are many "secrets" which aren't kept secret. They are only perpetuated by conspiracy theorists whose soul desire is to be right about something, no matter how wrong they are.
