If all of the illegal immigrants are working jobs that Americans don't want, why is social security in danger? Why do they keep having babies when they can't care for themselves? They get WIC,. Link, Section 8, don't need a ss#, dont need a drivers' license...come on now. Why is SS in danger?

The law gives the president to fire them for ANY reason. It's happened in the past without anyone raising a stink over it. Does the Senate really have nothing better to do then investigate LEGAL acts by the president?

Why do they find it ok to invade a country and kill thousands of people but will not agree to stem cell research which has the ability to save millions of lives. They claim to be pro life but do all the opposite things???They seem to be pro death to me.

I can't believe that the current Administrations "Wild West Method" of combatting terrorism is effective. In fact I think might do more to incite these murderous psychopaths and empower their recruiting capabilities.

Does anyone else feel that we are likely to be attacked by American born Al-Qaead-minded terrorists? There are a lot of young angry people here in the States could easily be drawn in Al-Qaeda's perverse "God wants us to murder" philosophy. I think we are more vulnerable to American born AL-Qaeada sympathizers, young people we would not expect and that would would exploit this fact. Mass killings and similar atrocities carried out by young people in America is not uncommon.

What do you think, is Good Law Enforcement more important than mobilizing troops overseas and do you think that we are at risk from Full-blooded Americans carrying out terrorism in the name of Al-Quaeda?

No. If a cop asks your permission to search you or your property, you are under no obligation to consent to his/her request.
The only reason why the officer is even asking is because they don’t have enough evidence to search without your consent.
If you consent to a search request you give up one of the most important constitutional rights you have , your Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures.
Some people may say " hey what the heck I have nothing to hide go ahead and search" That is their right and it is just as important as anyone elses right to deny the unreasonable rummaging through their personal property or even their very person.
How many people have heard the saying
'Use it or lose it'?
Does this apply to your constitutional rights?
I think so.
Refusing to allow a law enforcement officer to search you or your property does not give them probable cause to do so!
Refuse to be bullied.

I think voting should be mandatory... sort of.

1. A list of multiple choice questions is formulated.
2. Candidates answer questions.
3. Voters answer questions.
4. Rather than actually voting for a candidate, the person's vote goes to the candidate who the voter agreed with most often.

I think that solves a couple of problems. First, the candidate is actually forced to say what he agrees with - no more flip flopping or ambiguous answers. Also, voters won't have to research candidates (since most are too lazy and instead vote along party lines or according to which candidate they like the best).

I'm serious - though of course this system would never actually be used - but I'd still like some responses!

Example question:
1. Gay marriage:
A. should be completely legalized.
B. should not be legalized. Civil unions should be available to gays in place of legal marriage.
C. should never be legalized.
D. is an abomination. Homosexuality should be illegal, too.

The day after my mother died, my aunt and I were in my mother's apartment (located in another state) and were startled by people entering the apartment. A lady from the rental office let in a neighbor to retrieve some luggage she had let my mother borrow. We had been at the apartment since early the previous day and there were no phone calls or knocks to the door prior to them entering. The neighbor that had herself let in to the apartment knew I would be coming to take care of things, but was unaware I was already at the apartment.

We have all heard of and maybe even been apart of the random D.U.I. checkpoints or license checks while driving.
So is it legal for a cop or cops to do a drug check point?

the government would have you think so. But the truth is that you are more likely to be struck by lightning twice than to be killed by a terrorist.

According to Anderson Cooper 360, many more GOP Senators are calling for a change in course in Iraq, just as the Democrats have been doing since day one.

However, they still refuse to work/side with the Democrats to come up with a plan to change course in Iraq.

Does this make the GOP hypocritical in their forms of changing course, or does this mean they're politically stubborn???

This is a two parter, and I want real answers. The first part of the question is, What part of the country are you from? What state, and city.

Secondly, What is your opinion on immigration?

I think this will be interesting.
