If all of the illegal immigrants are working jobs that Americans don't want, why is social security in danger? Why do they keep having babies when they can't care for themselves? They get WIC,. Link, Section 8, don't need a ss#, dont need a drivers' license...come on now. Why is SS in danger?

SS is in danger not because of illegals, but because of overzealous politicians who keep "borrowing" for stupid stuff like fighting wars we don't need to get involved in. Why don't you complain to Bush who is using up all your money for something that will not benefit us in our future..SHOW me 1 credible study that says illegals don't pay taxes!! YOU CAN'T! It's propaganda that they do not pay taxes, almost every employer has to report some kind of information to the IRS regarding their employees..and guess what? The IRS doesn't care where the money comes from. The only problems that I can think of that illegal immigration can cause are the following. Crime. When you do not know who you have in the country it is impossible to trace the whereabouts of this person. We have a hard time enough with legal citizens, imagine and illegal alien. Stolen identities..this can be a big problem because your information is being sold like cd's in the corner of busy intersection...it's bad for creditors, banks, etc when they have to flip the bill for the costs of fraud. Now whether the costs of using social services is costing us a lot, is questionable..there are many studies by both pro and con immigration organizations, that say quite the opposite of each other...so you can say these organization are not credible enough...I would like to see the government make study on this...

We don't need to waste money and resources on a mass deportation. Illegal immigrants will leave voluntarily if they are no longer able to work under fake SSNs. Enforce employment laws by requiring all employers to verify Social Security numbers and include biometric data in SS files. Scare employers into compliance by making examples of a few with huge fines. If a college student can get a $675,000 fine for downloading music to deter others, then fining some sleazy janitorial subcontractor $1 million for hiring a bunch of undocumented immigrants at $7 an hour seems reasonable. We have a broken immigration system because our enforcement efforts have mostly targeted easily replaceable immigrants themselves, rather than employers who enable them to stay here illegally and have children who make use of public services that cost more than the tax contributions of the parents.

You're all over the place. Social Security is in danger, because our working population is shrinking. Social security is taken from the working and given to the retired. A large part of our population will retire soon and will take more than what is going in. At the current rate, illegal immigrants is helping to stall the bankruptcy of our social security. They put money in, but are not planning to get any back. If we legalize them, it's a different story, and we are going to lose a lot more than whats going in.

Thats a somewhat long story, but SSI would be in danger without the illegal immigrants let alone with them.
Its a mismanaged and poor performing system to start with, add to that that in the 60s I believe it was it was moved from a completely separate accounted for fund of money and put into the general revenue fund where politicians could dip into it for other projects
and then finally of course we have added to an already failing system illegal aliens drawing money off of it making a slowly sinking ship sink faster.
Wait another 10 years when lots of people from the baby boomer era retire and you will see big trouble.

Who employs these immigrants? How do the employers benefit? How does the public benefit from these businesses?
The employers benefit by not having to pay SS or tax, plus they are getting cheap labor. The public benefits from the convenience of the business. The immigrants are given a welcome (we need you) to stay, by the mere fact that they are hired.
If you have a beef with anyone - look in the mirror, look at your neighbors, look at the employees in your town, talk to you politicians, raise rumpus and fight that this country of immigrants should close its doors - after all, this culture does not need them, right? Then see what happens!
