According to Anderson Cooper 360, many more GOP Senators are calling for a change in course in Iraq, just as the Democrats have been doing since day one.

However, they still refuse to work/side with the Democrats to come up with a plan to change course in Iraq.

Does this make the GOP hypocritical in their forms of changing course, or does this mean they're politically stubborn???

They are politically stubborn and simply refuse to work with Dem's so that if they come up with a plan, it could potentially be viewed as the Republican effort, not a bipartisan one. Rovian tactics. They will attempt to devise some sort of pull-out, but rest assured it will never be as absolute as a Democratic plan.

usa seems to run on a device the place it does not even count anymore what a candidate runs for in the presidential election. in case you flick via here you in many situations see human beings slandering human beings's political viewpoints...i'm effective all of us has considered leftist-this and GOP-that. What usa desires is a social gathering that could undertake the best regulations of the two events and supply up all this polarizing bullshit that has made a united states as quickly as respected and idolized mocked and loathed by making use of something of the worldwide.

Did you just wake up from a coma or return from a remote third world country? FYI, just about every Democrat including Hillary Clinton strongly supported the invasion of Iraq. Additionally, the Democrats have completely failed to develop a realistic plan to change the course in Iraq.

No, it makes them sane. All I can see that the democrats have ever done is to complain, without offering any reasonable solutions. These GOP senators probably want some sort of resolution, not just to sit around criticizing and complaining. Let's face it, the democrats have absolutely nothing to offer where this is concerned.

Changing course isn't the same as abandoning the troops like the spineless democrats want to do. They are playing vulture politics while sacrificing our troops to fulfill an agenda. Besides, most of them changing are RINO republicans.

I seem to remember nearly all the democrats backing the war in Iraq on day one. Hmmm, your memory must be clouded by all the THC resin from smoking that bong all day.

But this is pretty much how all politicians talk. They're jockeying for just the right position for next election. No matter how idiotic that is.

The latest news is that we'll run out of troops by next spring. They went all in with this surge. They can't keep this level of troop after next spring. One article called it 'broken army' clock. It runs out next spring.

Now, GOP knows this. They have couple of choice.

1)They can talk about this 'stay the course' but when the 'broken army' clock runs out, they will have no choice but to accept withdrawal. Troop withdrawal will happen after next spring no matter what unless they want to call draft.

2)OR, they can call for withdrawal earlier. This will make it appear troop withdrawal is their plan after all.

Troops will eventually come home. The question is are they coming home because 'we won' or are they coming home because the policy makers 'broke' our (voluntary) military.

Anderson Cooper is an unreliable sort of unbiased information but, okay, we'll play your game.

The democrats themselves cannot come up with a solution for withdrawal from Iraq. Why? Because it would be an idiotic thing to do to begin with and they know it.

We can't simply come home and forget about it.

Jumping on the bandwagon is far different than actually going for a ride, but the dems all jump on regardless, knowing they haven't the horsepower to make it roll.

It's useless, non-productive and even counter-productive propaganda and nothing more.

But, hey, go ahead and climb on board if it makes you feel good to waste your time and delude your thinking in the name of our nation instead, of looking at the hard facts we have before us and the true reality that no amount of wishful thinking can change.

As a vet, to me, it seems that the republican were at least waiting to see if the one last try was going to work to win Iraq, instead of calling for a withdraw right away and loosing like the democrats did from the beginning.

so no it is not the same thing.

It means they tied themselves to Bush's Iraq policys- and if they "let go" -the Conservatives are gonna kill them in the next Election. Either they come up with a "plan" of their own, or they're, "Dead Politicians Walking..." :)
