It seems from the news that the police/authorities were aware or had awareness of the suspects of the latest attacks but were not able to do more than monitor them before they committed the crime. Should the authorities have more power?

I hurt my knees in Military Training(im in the ARNG) I have already been to basic but not AIT yet. It was in a RSP drill. I got therapy now done with that before I couldn't stand for over 2 min. Now I can stand for about 15-20 max then my knees start to hurt and swell then I am down for a day or 2 sometimes more and I couldn't run for more than 5 min at a very fast walking paste. Now I can run maybe a mile if my knees are up to it but when I run they swell up really bad the pain comes back and I am down for a couple of days. I will waste the militaries money if they send me to AIT cause I CAN NOT pass my PT test cause of this injury. How do I get discharged its like the ARNG is ignoring my injury. HELP

My (ex) manager opened my check to "check my hours" Yet she was also telling everyone that I was not going to be receiving my bonus check. I know she was checking my paycheck to see if it was a bonus check. She receives a form with every check that tells her what the checks have in them. I do not see it necessary for her to open my check. Is there something legal I can do to her in the state of texas?

I mean, you may believe that he's doing what the Republicans want, or what his "handlers" want, or what is best for corporations, or PNAC...but, do you think that deep, down in his heart he REALLY believes that God talked to him and that what he is doing is "best"???

I want to join, but my friend says I'm a fool for joining during wartime. I dont think it's that big a risk. Numbers are on my side, right? I realize there's ALWAYS the chance, but I think odds are good that I'd be better off for joining, not worse. What do you think?

It would replace 30 - to 40% of medicines today. Its easy to grow you dont need pestacides to grow it. You've never heard of someone killing or robbing a bank because they were high. The only reason its illegal today is in 1935 the media lied and made the politicians believe it is as dangerious as meth or cocane but its not. If we mass produced it our taxes wouldn't be paying to support all these people in jail and prison for pot. you could use the hemp for clothes. its rediculious the government in the 80's legalized it as long as you bought it from them. Whats up with that, it can be used for fuel clothes almost anything. they only dont legalize it because it would put the oil companies out of business the cropdusters the tobacco companies. Even Bill Clinton supported it he just didnt openly support it it wasnt a cigar tube he used it was a blunt tube

Following up on a previous question on here: Response: "A paralegal can not give legal advice." ...A paralegal can prepare documents, and advise about laws, but cannot give legal advice.

Can you help me discern, in generalized terms, what is and what is not legal advice? For instance, a personal case could be presented to a paralegal, and he/she could do/say X but not do/say Y.

If it is a simple spelled out misdemeanor charge, would it even be worth hiring such an individual to help with this case?

Thanks

He spent his entire time as Bill Clinton's vice-president attending the coronation of the grand prince of Upper Bophuthatswana and other "important" events. He obviously didn't get enough when he lost the Florida re-count in 2000 (and if you don't think he lost, just ask the New York Times, CNN, the Washington Post and the University of Pennsylvania...who all did their own investigations and they all came to the same conclusion: Bush won the re-count.)

But now, Al Gore is getting all the love (and money) that he never could get before. Hollywood loves him, the DNC no longer looks at him as a loser, and he's moments away from being crowned "The Green Jesus."
So, will he risk losing all this love by running for President in '08?

I'm not an apologist for pedophiles, but I was wondering about the legality of the show. Isn't it entrapment that these guys get snared up in? Are they charged as sex offenders, or do they get off with a misdemeanor or something? What are they charged with anyway? They always say the cases are "pending," not that anyone was convicted, except those with prior offenses. What crimes are they actually charged with and at what point did they commit the crime? I heard one of the cops say on the show that the crime was committed when they stepped out of their house.

And just one observation...what does this show say about our society? Is it worse that there are people who would do such things, or that the so many people watch the show?

A 21 yr old kid that was home on leave from the air force was drunk driving and speeding (in his mom's car) and crashed in to my property. He and his passenger fleed the scene of the accident. The police arrested him later that evening after mommy showed up at the crime scene, but that was the last I heard. What will be his punishment from the military? How/will the military find out?
