Taking off for vacation from work.?

I requested to take off weeks ago but suddenly my employer says that are not honoring certain days for taking off. What should I do because I have requested to take off for months and the plans are already made and everything's paid?

Depending on where you work, you might have a co-worker or two that will pick up your hours. If you are in an office, check with temp agencies to see if they have somebody who can do your work.

Employers are not required to give you specific days off. You can request them, but if there are too many people already taking that day off, you're out of luck.

If you are requesting to be gone for months, then you might just want to put in your notice and quit before you leave on vacation. If it is only 2 or 3 weeks, then have a heart to heart chat with your employer.
