- for the time being try applying for unemployment benefits.
- get a EBT card http://www.gettingfoodstamps.org/ebtcard.htm
- i dont know much about housing, but try contacting your county's welfare office.
- claim for spousal support, if you still have the option.
- look for employment and cheaper housing on craigslist.
- maybe put an ad on craigslist under "wanted" section for the things you and your childen might need.
- if you have boys/teenagers, maybe try car-wash.
- be strong and have faith in yourself.

I sincerely hope things work out for you.

First I would go and apply for assistance at the welfare office, then go and apply for low income housing. The welfare office should be able to give you a list of places to go. I am not sure where you are staying now, but hopefully you are staying at the home of a friend or family. If not, go to a women's shelter for battered women. The welfare office can help you with this too. I am not sure what state you are in, but here in Montana it is easy to get these things. Also you may qualify for unemployment benefits. It is worth checking into.

Go to a battered women's shelter in your community. Just call the police or sheriff's department in your community. They can direct you to the nearest shelter for batter women. They also help you to get back on you feet and get a job. There are also programs that will help you in the meantime. The batter women's shelter is aware of these programs, and will be able to put you on the right path.

I also agree with both the two above recommendations.
