I do agree that we can't control the emissions of volcanoes and other natural contributors but why do we compound the problem with our own contributions and then say we have no control over this issue?

I am trying to understand the conservatives who say 'mob rule should not determine who is president'. Why should the minority who pay the least taxes get the bigger say? Why SHOULDN'T the majority decide the elections? And don;t bring up the women's movement or equal rights movement, as back in the day, women and minorities didnt vote, or didn;t get a full vote. Those days are gone, everyone gets a vote.

I mean they're trying to make the gullible think that Dems. want to start a sort of Soviet Union. They say places like UK and Australia are "socialist", as if an EU style democracy with a few more more social programs, fewer crimes, prisoners, and lawsuits, and with populations that vote and feel quite content and free in their pursuit of happiness, press, speech, etc. is something terrible.
I looks like to me the R's want a one-party government with insider trading, endless wars to profit from, surveillance on the population, throw dissenters in jail, and government intrusion into people's private affairs.

I am babysitting, and about 15 minutes ago, I saw somebody who I think was trying to break into a house!! He was pushing on the window panes on the outside. He was also dressed in black, even though it's almost noon. What should I do? I am not positive that he was trying to break in the house!! Any policemen with ideas?

Why is Cuba being blockaded and not some Communist countries like China? I'm NOT in support of this...just wondering. The reason for the blockading was the "human rights record" of Cuba. It isn't as if China was a human rights angel itself.

My husband had something sent to his aunt's house, addressed to him; but she opened it, and is now telling him she will not let him have it. Isn't that illegal in the U.S.? She said that it wasn't b/c it had her address on it; but still it had HIS name on it.

I live in the state of georgia and i've had a pending felony charge against me for two years now. I called the DA's office today and they don't have a indictment or nothing. They said it could be another year or so before it ever comes back up. Is'nt that crazy. Why would it take so long to come back? My stupid lawyer (which is a public defender) keeps telling me he will call me back every time i ask about him fileing a motion for a speedy trial. Should i get another lawyer?

Does anyone else see what is going on in our country? When are we going to wake up and take our country back.?With all the forgieners in our country buying up our businesses,our homes,taking our jobs,most important taking over our country.One person can't take care of the problem,so now is the time to pull togeather and send them back to their own country. Boy you guys are all over the map on this one... We know this much from lefty dogma: corporations are evil, concerned only with profits (God bless 'em!!), they would sell their mother for a dollar. We also know that, contrary to all available evidence, lefty talk radio is a smash hit that his been kept off the air by the same evil corporations run by evil white men. So which is it? I don't wanna hear " oh you don't like it, then leave" or any other similar comments, because yes i love my home and my family. But look at our country from a point of view other than your own, be it a foreigner or different social class. we take what we want, when we want, wherever we want with total disregard for anyone or anything else. we hear about other countries killing innocent people and they're "bad guys", why don't we hear any stories about all the innocent people the U.S. has killed, is killing or will kill. Our government and media feed us lies and propaganda to make us live in constant fear of the "terrorists". well you know what, our government is the biggest terrorist organization in the world. We offer aid to other country's poor, but can't get our less fortunate citizens the help they need. This country was founded on the basis of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, seems like now we're more based on War, Greed and Power. Does anyone else feel this way?
