Did it make you lose faith or respect or trust for the justice system here? Do you think there are millions of people locked up for long terms for doing a lot less harm than Libby did? What was the real reason Bush commuted his sentence? Will you ever get the same kind of break? Or anybody you are ever likely to meet?

I know this was a little while ago now, but was linked to the damn 9/11 stuff.
Apparently this was the first case that evidence obtained under tourture was admissable, it's probably been discussed and everything but...
seems to me this is the US saying "we don't really care what you think, we think you did it"
after going through enough tourture someone will probably say anything!? is it me or is this just an insane thing?

We have hit bottom thanks to George.
People are starting to realize what forces are running govt..
The 2 party system has become neutralized by the huge business interests that are playing George.
Even his own party is distancing itself from him in anticipation of the backlash that is bound to happen when more people remember that Govt is supposed to protect the rights of the people under the constiution & act in their best interest according to popular vote.
Having seen what a really bad presidency can do ,maybe the
country will wake up & restore the checks & balances that are supposed to protect us.
So, do we send him a fruit basket , or what.?

The only person who has served jail time for the Plame Affair was a reporter. Judith Miller went to jail because she believed in the freedom of the press. And she never even published an article on the topic of Valarie Plame.

I'm not arguing weather she committed a crime or not, but isn't is odd that the only person who has served jail time is a reporter? If a CIA agent's name is leaked, it is connected to the white house and a war, why is a reporter the one in jail? Is she the most dangerous person involved?

The person asking the question wanted to know if conservatives would leave the country if Billary won in November of 08. My answer:

"LOL Republicans are not the ones who promise to move; that was the liberal hollywood types who actually lied about it. Shocking. No conservatives will simply up the ratings of talk radio another notch. ....HIDE THE INTERNS"

Why was this deleted? What term - what condition - did I violate?

Seems to me there are just too many laws on the books, and more added all of the time. I think it is ridiculous to have a law for everything. So I got to thinking what if we could only limit ourselves to 2 laws what would they be. I say laws against murder and theft.

If so, like me, you don't want government controlling your life, right? You feel that the Patriot Act has taken away your constitutional rights? However, at the same time feel that law abiding citizens shouldn't have the right to bear arms and those rights should be taken away? Am I correct in my assumption?

Well, there's nothing wrong with it,
It's the President's right,
Clinton did it many times,
Clinton pardoned terrorists,
Clinton did it in far worse situations,

Is there nothing negative they can say about it? Oh, nevermind. It's Fox.

Someone obstructs justice and there's no consequences for them? What do you think of Bush doing this, regardless of what Clinton or other Presidents did. Is it justified? Is it fair? Or does it even matter?

clinton made 396 pardons over 96 months, bush made 70 over 48 months. some of clinton's pardons included drug dealers and fugitive financiers. so dont even try to blame anyone for scooter's pardon, all he did was lie in a court case that shouldnt have even been held. it was just a political move against bush.
are liberals so open-minded and liberal that they support criminals getting released from prison and walkng away with just a warning?

Lets be honest all Presidents have done this and I'm talking about a lot more controversial pardons and commuted sentences. Jimmy Hoffa, G. Gordon Liddy, Casper Weinberger, Marc Rich, Patty Hearst... the list is endless. Now with this one everyone seems shocked and appalled by it or trying to hold Bush to a higher standard. Really people this isn't nothing new.

Should he do the same for the arrested border control agents?

WASHINGTON - Just when things looked darkest for I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, when prison seemed all but certain, President Bush wiped away the former White House aide's 2 1/2-year sentence in the CIA leak case.
