If Africa was just below us instead of Mexico..do you think immigration would even be an issue?

Yes because the Africans would be pushing the Meixcans out of the way to get into the USA. On one hand you have a bunch of Mexicans speaking Spanish on the other hand you'll have a bunch of Africans giving out HIV and AIDS. Your call.

It becomes a boiling point because people, maybe even you, get all bent out of shape over immigration. I agree that all immigration should be through the front door. But like it or not, the Southwest belonged to Mexicans before it was annexed by the United States. I don't think it would matter if Africa were south of us instead of Mexico. If race were an issue, African Americans would have been returned to Africa already. That's exactly what white supremacists prefer if it were up to them. They dream of the day when America is free of blacks. American Indians dream of the day when America is free of the white man. Dreams, however, are not reality. America is a land of immigrants, every single one of us. Even the Indians migrated here through the Bering Strait from Asia some 10,000 years ago. Immigrants seeking jobs and better opportunities are not a threat to America. If they become citizens and tend to vote Democratic, then they're a political threat to Republicans. Any talk of terrorism is just a diversion and a smoke screen by the establishment who wants to stay in power.

This question was just asked a few days ago...yes, I think it would be an issue. Despite what people say, it would be an issue if it were the UK, Germany, etc. This is not about race. This is about a sovereign nation defending it's borders like every other country in the world does. The USA is not a big soup kitchen the whole world can use. We have a right to defend ourselves not only from those entering our country illegally but from possible terrorists as well. There's no ethical dilemma here.

Yes it would! We would have Africans crossing the border instead of Mexicans. Africans would be the ones that would be doing all the hard work in the fields that us Americans dont want to do. Just exactly the way it is today, but it would be Africans instead.

l don't think it matters what race lives below us. If we have a third world, poverty ridden country next door, we will have to fight illegals. Any country which can amount to something will always be beset by those who cannot amount to anything, and hated by those who have trashed their own country. Its called envy.
I hate it when race is brought into this, it is about illegals leaving the land they destroyed to destroy our land like locusts, thier race doesn't matter as much as their disregard for our country's rights.
