Well, what kind of tickets? How many? What are the total fines he owes? These are all things to consider. It was probably NOT a good idea for him NOT to give the cop his info. That just delays the inevitable, and as you can see that can add ANOTHER charge.

You should consult an attorney, rather than Y! Answers.

Did you really think that not paying the tickets would just make them go away? They issue warrants becasue of that, and obviously he got caught. Why didn't you make arrangements to pay the tickets?

Did you think, "maybe they will just forget about them" ?

The other puzzling thing is, you say they are from "March", then later say "they are from years ago"

Sounds like your story is already all screwed up.

You better seek a lawyer, is the best advice i can give you. And get your story straight or your husband is gonna end up in the county lockup for a while.

Depending on the situation, it may not be that long anyway. But you never told us what the tickets were for to begin with, so how can anyone help you?

Hubby has to pay the piper. You should never fail to identify - it's not as if the police can't find out who you are.

Begging doesn't do much when it comes to the law. He should have taken care of his obligations - he will have no choice now. He will have to pay the tickets and suffer the consequences of his actions.

Penalties for failure to identify vary by state and there is no outcome set in stone. It's entirely possible they will impose nothing but a fine - you should talk to an attorney.

Maybe not since he hasnt been in trouble before. But he will be required to pay off the tickets and any fines for failure to identify himself. If he gets any time in jail it wont be for long.

I can tell you this, it's his fault Dear. I can understand your plea but, if he can't do the time, he shouldn't have done the crime.
Go to your "friends of the Court" or the family court, whatever you have there where you live. Tell them your plight, then head for the welfare office and let them know, maybe you can get food stamps or health Bennie's or ?

I feel for you, you didn't do a crime but, I'm sorry, not him.
