I agree...stuff like this is why people b*tched about Clinton and part opf the reason Bush got elected in the first place.

Hmmm, wonder if Libby were a democrat if he would have been executed? Instead, as one of the insiders, he is feted and praised for doing something with more far reaching consequences than what Ethel and Julius Rosenberg executed for in the "50's. Bush may be stupid, but as long as he is puppet for Rove/Cheney he is far from harmless.

It does not benefit either party. What it does is make a mockery out of one of the cornerstones that helped to make this nation great and the envy of the world. This has just helped make this country yet another laughing stock

I don't think Bush could do anything else that could possibly reduce the number of his believers in this country.
I would prefer that he actually start cleaning up his room before he leaves for bigger and better things.

He doesn't need the encouragement. He knows how to act stupid without any intervention.
We Liberals aren't scared of Bushie boy, we're scared of what Darth Cheney has up his sleeve.

Therefore we must also go after Bill Clinton for not going to prison for his perjury in a Federal Court (he was let go with a slap on the wrist). We must go after Sandy Berger for his acknowledgement that he destroyed documents of the Clinton Administration that were being called for - he only lost his law license for his criminal acts. The list can go on...
Bush did the right thing in this case.
If you're a Liberal, you should be happy that your people weren't even held accountable.

There is nothing "harmless" about commuting the sentence of a TRAITOR.
It is so scary that so many Americans apparently have NO UNDERSTANDING of what this whole travesty has actually been about. CIA operatives take years and years of painstaking, detailed, expert undercover work to obtain vital intelligence.
Our CREDIBILITY has been destroyed.
Who is going to co-operate with CIA agents now in foreign countries? It means certain DEATH to anyone helping us with information if we cannot absolutely GUARANTEE them secrecy and a solid CIA network of support.
THAT IS GONE.
If America is no longer a nation of laws, we are NO DIFFERENT from any third world country where might makes right.

Bush actually did the right thing to commute Libby's sentence. He shouldn't be going to jail for what he did. The whole thing has been a political farce.
Good Luck!!!
