A San Diego public school has become part of a national debate over religion in schools ever since a substitute teacher publicly condemned an Arabic language program that gives Muslim students time for prayer during school hours.
Carver Elementary in Oak Park added Arabic to its curriculum in September when it suddenly absorbed more than 100 students from a defunct charter school that had served mostly Somali Muslims.

liberals is this ok since it's muslims and not christians? Should christian students be given equal prayer time during SCHOOL HOURS? Or should we have separation of islam and state?

I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

If the government keeps stating fiction as fact, will Americans eventually believe?

Examples:
Iraq connected to 9/11 attacks.
Saddam had WMDs.
Vice President not part of Executive Branch

Clinton Pardoned Drug Dealers and Terrorists from Puerto Rico, Ford Pardoned Nixon But Liberals were outraged about that. The political class spares certain shady people, but it is funny to see the angst meisters among us clucking over a Failed investigation charged with convicting a leaker but only finding a perjurer.instead. Bill Clinton did the same thing but he is held to a different Standard, Liberals why the double standard?

Wouldnt your Faith dictate that you at very least say I wont support all this president and administration has done that does against honest governement, and leadership with integrity?

You can say it, because anyone can say anything, but....
do you think the GOD you believe in would be proud that you support such a terrible leadership?

I guess the question I am realyl asking is, are you republican first, believer in GOD secoond?

I recently got into a car accident, my fault, as I rear-ended someone. The police officer gave me a ticket for careless driving, and told me to give him a call if the brakes were the problem and he would dismiss the ticket. After getting proof that the brakes were indeed the cause of the accident, I called the number he gave me only to find that he no longer worked for that police department. I contested the ticket, but now I'm wondering if court will go like other moving violations; an officer doesn't appear as a witness to the violation, then you win the case. Is this true with an accident?

Republicans hate America and want to destroy it.

They distract by projecting this onto Liberals and Democrats, even though it is an empty accusation.

WHY do they hate America? Because they have a giant religious stick up their butts, and they resent anyone who isn't as hung up as themselves, who doesn't conform. Full of resentment and malice, they want revenge on America and want to ruin it. Then they can all go on to the Endless Sunday Picnic in the Sky, having done the Lord's Work in wreaking vengeance on sinners.

I can't think of any other explanation for why the Republicans not only tolerate incompetence and disastrous policies, but actually want more of the same!

Now watch the Rightists respond with irrelevant insults.

We just moved into a new home and I JUST now got around to purchasing an American flag (talk about the 11th hour pre-July 4). Anyhow, I will fly it year round.

It will be mounted to the garage with the full and half mast options. Please tell me what the proper placement for mounting is (ie. inches/feet from the ground etc). I know to keep a light on it at night but figure if I am going to display my American pride, I might as well do it the proper way (I dont like seeing people do "whatever" they feel like with the flag).

The first informative and detailed answer = 10 points.
Thank you and God Bless America

Would you not prefer to keep most of your money and take care of yourself?

The Fed should provide in those areas where the states and the people cannot. We cannot provide for national defense, we can build our own roads thank you. We can provide for our children's education and do not need to Feds involved whatsoever. We can provide our own health care and insurance, it is not an area where we need Federal involvement.

Now if you argue against this, please keep in mind their are others that want something for nothing as well. I would like the Fed to supply me with latest in urban assault armaments, for free, so when socialism collapses our economy I can defend my family from the commie hoards coming to steal what we have saved.

In life you can be the ant or the grasshopper, I prefer to be the ant.

After they set off another staged 9/11 like event, Bush will declare martial law and remain in power for as long as his cronies and Lobbyists need him in power.

Didn't you see Bush's new self appointed powers "if" another National Crisis occurs.

When it happens don't act surprised! You have supported this criminal administration of power hungry illuminati's hell bent on controlling the world. They still need China and Russia, so they are not done!

When Bush and Company set off huge bombs in our largest cities, this will not be a joke anymore! Will you still be his sheep, or will you finally see the light!

Hopefully it will not be the light of a nuclear explosion!

God Bless America

Let us count some of the heinous acts of the Bush Administration for which the Iraqi people should be grateful:
1) US violence has brought death to hundreds of thousands of Iraqi’s and physical injury to millions.
2) Hundreds of billions of dollars in property destruction caused by U.S. aggression will take decades after peace to rebuild.
3) 2.2 million Iraqi’s, nearly one in ten, have fled their country to foreign exile, refugee camps and a doubtful future while at least 2 million more have fled their homes and communities to furtive lives of quiet desperation, to inadequate housing within Iraqi, without jobs or schools.
4) 3/4's of the people do not have safe drinking water.
5) Iraqi’s internationally acclaimed free health care system is a shambles.
6) Since Shock and Awe began in March 2003 infant mortality in Iraq has increased radically to the highest death rate of all nations.
7) Iraq is the most unstable country in the world.

IThe list goes on and on...
