Many conservatives are dirt poor. Simply drive throughout most of the southern states to see for yourself.

You will find homes standing a few feet off of the ground atop a few randomly stacked bricks. People living in squander. Yet these have been conned into believing that their red state reps care two cent about them and their quality of life. Poor and blue collar Southerners vote against their own best interests.

"Liberal" states generate over 80% of this nation's wealth.

You should check the net worth of some of the people you support if you are a liberal.

Had John Kerry been elected (CRINGE) he would have been the third wealthiest person to ever hold the office (adjusted dollars). The top was a founding father with no association to either current party. Numbers two through seven were all Democrats. The first Republican comes it at number eight and President is not even listed in the top ten.

Those representing us in congress and the executive branch exhibit far more money in the Democrats than the Republicans. There are Democrats with hundreds of millions and no Republicans anywhere near that threshold.

I feel that many people don't even align them self with conservative issues until they fall on hard times. Many people I have know never cared about the size of government or a couple of percentage points on their earning until they found their job moved to some third world country or has been replaced do to the increases of the cost of having an employee.
Many also don't draw a line between the "I need a hand out" poor that look to the liberals and the working poor that look to the conservatives.

I know exactly what it's like to be poor. As a child my mother lived on welfare, currently I'm poor student with no real income to speak of, and no I will not change my tune. I think liberals are the bane of this country and are bankrupting this country one ridiculous law at a time.

People always assume that because we're against entitlement programs that we don't know anything about being poor, or care about the poor. The fact is, many of us grew up under adverse conditions. Many of us bettered our lives and rose out of poverty without any help from the govt. It just leads us to ask a question most people who have never been poor don't ask. If I can do it, why can't you?

Why would how much money we make contribute to making us more or less liberal? I was mostly conservative when I made minimum wage as a front desk agent. My husband and I are both generally conservative, but my sister, who grew up in the same household as I did with all the same circumstances is liberal.

Listen, we live pretty much paycheck to paycheck. We save enough to get by, but we are certainly not rich. The one good thing about my getting rear-ended in a car accident was that it bought our child a pre-paid college education. We work our tails off every day, and are both lucky enough to have jobs we enjoy.

No.....I dont think they do.If they have.It doesnt last that long.Because.......They pick themselves up and start over. Or they have worked all thier lives to achive the American dream. Finacial independence. You liberals......You think anyone that works hard doesnt deserve the fruits of thier labors. That they should share them with the less fortunate. Hell yeah. You presume a lot with your question. I'm part of the working poor. But that's okay. I'd rather spend all my money for what I need and not get to take vacations or not eat steak or not drive a nice car than be enslaved to the government.

Not all conservatives are rich, now the politicians are rich from both parties so ofcourse they have no idea what it's like to be poor.
