A San Diego public school has become part of a national debate over religion in schools ever since a substitute teacher publicly condemned an Arabic language program that gives Muslim students time for prayer during school hours.
Carver Elementary in Oak Park added Arabic to its curriculum in September when it suddenly absorbed more than 100 students from a defunct charter school that had served mostly Somali Muslims.

liberals is this ok since it's muslims and not christians? Should christian students be given equal prayer time during SCHOOL HOURS? Or should we have separation of islam and state?

Liberals will go along with Muslim prayer, but not Christian prayer. Since they don't really believe in God or religion, they try to hurt Americans as much as possible but always support people from other cultures. After all, to our liberals, they are so much better than we Americans anyway

School prayer on tuition estate has already been determined through the courts and has not anything to do with Islam or some other faith. We are a country of legislation and the state cannot advertise any faith. If there's a have got to pray for the period of designated occasions for the period of the tuition day, then uncover a "room" within the tuition and "hire" it for the period of the ones occasions. Any Muslim group could help renting a room in order that Muslims would possibly pray to Allah. Moreover, the tuition committee can (must) be in a position to uncover a fair situation for Muslims to train their devout tasks that doesn't violate the regulation. Prayer for the period of language magnificence could be unfair to any non Muslim taking that magnificence. I uncover it unacceptable to cite devout tolerance for this limitation, and make any assertion approximately folks that obey the regulation. Christians as good as Muslims have to obey the regulation. If you don' realize this, I advocate you learn the Qur'an.

I'm waiting for you to make a point. Oh, not going to happen. Sorry.

Are Christians prohibited from praying during the school day? No. Are all students given the fifteen minute break while the Muslims pray? Yes. Can Christians pray during this time? Yes. Are Christians required to pray at certain times during the day as Muslims are? No. Are Christians actually being denied any of their rights, or having their religion taken away from them? No.

I'd really like to know why it is that the largest religious group in this country, the one with the most power and influence, the only one with one of their holidays being a national holiday, is also the one most frequently complaining about their rights being infringed upon.

if Christians want time to pray... that's fine... (and they actually can have time to pray)

the teacher just can't lead the prayer... to the whole class...

that's the whole point of the SCHOOL PRAYER ISSUE...

why do cons cry about things they don't understand?

if the Muslims wanted a teacher led prayer... most liberals would be quite upset

Separation of church and state is indiscriminate to religion.

No religion can be tolerated in any governmental or public institution.
