"This (the Libby decision) was clearly an effort to protect the White House. ... There isn't any doubt now, what we know is that Libby was carrying out the implicit or explicit wishes of the vice president, or maybe the president as well, in the further effort to stifle dissent."

In 1994 Democratic Congressman Mel Rynolds was convicted of child sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography.

He was sent to prison.

In 1997 he was also convicted of bank fraud and lying to SEC investigators.

After serving his first sentence,

Bill Clinton commuted the bank fraud sentence for this child sex abuser allowing him out of prison 3 years early.

But now the Democratic party is saying commuting Libby's sentence is wrong .

This doesn't pass the smell test.

Commuting the sentence of a child sexual assualter is ok with the Democrats, but not Libby ??

PS: the Democrats actually ran Rynolds for for Congress again in 2004.

Have they no shame ?

Since I keep getting the excuses that Clinton did the same things Bush did, are you happy that you elected another Clinton? Are you happy the best you can ask out of your leaders is that they are no worse than anyone else?

Anti-fascism/anti genocide positions from the 'us/we' perspective rather then the 'them/you' perspective? As something humans are capable of so we should gird our selves from it.

Thats right, SEVEN: 1. In 1986, Ted Kennedy’s blanket amnesty for 2.7 million illegal aliens promised a lot more enforcement but did not set any requirments for actual reductions in illegal immigration. The illegal flow continued.

2. In 1994, Ted Kennedy’s Section 245(i) Amnesty gave legal residence and jobs to 578,000 illegal aliens. It was a temporary rolling amnesty primarily for extended family members of immigrants who instead of waiting in line, come on to the country illegally. The illegal flow continued.

3. In 1997, Ted Kennedy’s extension of the Section 245(i) rolling amnesty was followed by an increasing flow of illegal immigration.

4. In 1997, Ted Kennedy also won an amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America. Illegal immigration sped up some more.

5. In 1998, Ted Kennedy won an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti. The illegal flow continued.

6. In 2000, Ted Kennedy got the so-called Late Amnesty, legalizing another 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed that they missed out on Kennedy’s 1986 amnesty. Illegal immigration continued unimpeded.

7. In 2000, Ted Kennedy also won the LIFE Act Amnesty for an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. It was another reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty., an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. Illegal immigration accelerated.

Now, Ted Kennedy is saying that this amnesty is necessary if we are ever to stop the flow of illegal aliens. Why would any of these Senators believe him when he says this amnesty bill will end illegal immigration with a track record like his?

Iraq had been suspected of having nuclear weapons since atleast 1998. So why is everyone calling Bush a liar, and not these other people?

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998.

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi

Not Iraq or Londonistan.
A normal Muslim country like Egypt, Turkey, Kazakhstan.

Have you met there Muslim women wearing head scarves?
Do you know that Muslim kids don't wear burqas contrary to Washington Pravda's propaganda?

I visited many normal Muslim countries, but the first time I encountered a woman with completely covered face was in the United States of America.

might have had to cut a deal with federal prosecutors? Who knows what he might devulge about Cheney and others if he had sufficient motivation. Is this just a cynical ploy to save Cheney's neck? This administration is looking sleazier and sleazier. Supporters of the administration always point to Clinton's indiscretions, as if that is the standard they are trying to meet. They are succeeding.

Nope, .........I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure democratic western Christian civilisation never offends anyone - particularly fanatics intent on killing us - airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile (or target)certain people. They must only conduct random searches of 80-year-oldwomen, people in wheelchairs, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the U.S.President's security detail, 85-year old World War II veterans with metal hips, and Boy Scout groups. They must never "target" a turbanwearing 17 to 40 year old male who appears to have a suspicious package tied around his body. This would be unjustified discrimination!

Paris could have paid a $250,000 fine for a get out of jail free card also, instead of having us taxpayers pay for her stay in jail.

Didn't Libby endanger our law enforcement officers by leaking covert information?

Bush was convicted of DUI also.
