Who are the Jena 6? Proof Racism is still rampant?

Come on, a black kid going to jail for 22 years over a school fight? After the schools white kids hung 3 nooses on a tree and yelled racial pejoratives? The courts are always biased against non-whites, but this is racism of Jim Crow caliber.

It says the kid FACES up to 22 years in prison. I doubt very much that will happen. Wait and see what happens in the court. If the result is unfair, THEN see what you can do. This might get "forwarded" to Federal Court, and it probably should have been in the first place.

Ok, let me help you with this, I have read the report you included. First, you are talking about Louisiana. Second, you are talking about people who have been part of the Welfare System down there for over 50 years! Third, listen up black people, this is why you should work hard and do something with your life that you enjoy. Because if you don't choose your future, IT chooses you! If these people would work for a living, they could GET OUT of there! Move someplace north where you are not treated like a DOG, or worse. The rest of the country doesn't have the same racist views as Louisiana, or the rest of the south. And lastly, always remember, you can't help someone who doesn't want help. Most of those people enjoy being on welfare, even if it is in a racist town in a racist state.

Also if you are against racism, get rid of affirmative action.

-A white student won't get a scholarship from a black student even if his grades are better.

-I might not get a job even if I am more qualified than a black applicant because of the color of my skin.

-I would get fired from my job if I put a calendar up that said "White History, Never Forget" but a black employee can have a calandar that says "Black History, Never Forget".

-If I say I am proud to be white I am branded a white supremecist, but a black person sayst that they are proud to be black, it is racial pride.

-White students go to a party dressed as over the top rappers, they are branded racist, but black students dress as "hillbillies" they are being funny.

-Don Imus in the context of an unfortunate joke says "Nappy Headed Hos" and he is fired. Steve Harvey has a segment called "Southern News" where he in a fake "white southern voice" makes fun a being a southern white man, and nothing happens to him.

-Al Sharpton has insulted jewish people and still gets to go on TV and make his claims like he is relevant in society, while a white person said somethin about blacks you would never see them again on TV

These are just some examples of real racism all over America not just some little town there hasn't moved out of the 1950s. What was done to blacks and other minorities in the past was horrible and wrong, but over compensating with unfair advantages and different rules for them today isn't going to solve the problem. I think it will make it worse, as whites who are over looked for jobs, or fired for making the same comments as a black worker, or whatever, will start to resent those of other races and we really will have racism back in this country. Just because somoene knows it is wrong to be racist doesn't change anything if that anger is allowed to boil under the surface for the unfair advantages minorities in country are given by the PC police.
