Now that Bush did indeed pardon his loyal lap dog, how will it effect the 08 election and what do you think of the GOP currently?

I started out sincerly wanting to know the answer to the question,"Why do police officers like donuts." I know it is not always true but there is enough truth to the stereotype that I had heard there was a good reason. A ton of people were actually offended that I would ask such a question.

Here is the answer I was looking for

" I am a former cop and was never offended by the donut questions/jokes. We used to make them ourselves.

We have also had serious discussions as to why cops eat donuts. My best guess is that in an earlier time donut shops were the first thing to open. Since cops work strange hours the donut shop was the only place to go. The shop owners probably liked the free security given their own early hours. "

Beware the media's spin - and don't submit to passive brainwashing. Liberal and Conservative should be applied with ethical and moral conscience - but how many people even have the most rudimentary logic to do this?

Is it finally alright for us to say "enough is enough" without the racist tag being applied to us? Is the proper description now a perhaps an overly generous people that are finally worried about their country becoming something they don't want it to become? A German is free to voice his objection to things that make his country "less German" so is someone from Italy. They take intense pride in the fact that they are who they are and love the land they live in, UNCHANGED. Could it be that we have finally walked through the door and decided to close it behind us, allowing in only those who politely stand in line and knock? It's not about race. It's not really so much about terrorisim, either. It's about "Americanisim." Are we finally allowing ourselves the freedom of keeping our country "ours" in the form that WE choose it to be? I certainly hope so. Thank God for our immigrants that come here legally to become assimilated AMERICANS. We could not have built this nation without you.

I highly repect police officers. I am NOT implying they are FAT AND LAZY. I think that it is more than a stereotype but has some truth to it. If fact, the reason I am asking this question is becuase I know there is some other reason besides them being fat and lazy. I remember hearing there is a certain reason that cops like to eat donuts.... the calories in the donuts or something. I just wanted to know. Several people got on and complained about the question. One of them was even a "Top Contributor" I guess if I have a question like this I just shouldn't ask, even if I sincerly want to know? There is a real interesting reason for this ( i recall in the back of my mind ). Why are so many people bothered by this question?

was standing in front of you in a dark alley and you had a 357 at hand. knowing with 100% certainty for supernatural reasons that you would never be caught. would you shoot him? (i must remind you that it is illegal to say you would kill mr. bush if your in the u.s., so no, we are not talking about mr. *****)

if a different person (ex: mr. bush) had a heart attack in the very same alley and you did not have the 357, would you make any attempt to revive him (unless your a medical professional you have no legal obligation to do so) ?

I have asked this question before but I am seriously confused. A lot of you have been saying that if you're called in for duty you'll get sent a letter in the mail, but if there's a natural disaster and they have to get there right away, isn't a letter in the mail a bit impractical? Just a thought. And I was just thinking about it, my characters are back from deployment and going home to see their families... I don't think that the army would bother calling them because they wouldn't be ready; they're not close to a base, it would take time to suit up, etc. That just screws the plot up, jeez! Every major city must have some sort of amry patrol unit with necessary weapons and vehicles, perhaps that would be where the army would post themselves? If that's not true, perhaps I'll have to create a few new things that may not be accurate, so if I did, say put a base in this city, how unrealistic would that be in the eyes of military personelle? They would call them in that case, right?

Edwards gets Iowa, but how does it work, because, he gets Iowa, but will not get anything else, like Florida and the other states Hillary leads in. I personally don't think Edwards can get enough swing states to win the election, Hillary has a better shot at knocking down Rudy, and Mitt Romney. She is the liberal nightmare....what do you all think? Besides Hillary has skill, and excellent smart debate doger... she can do it.

In front of my place there is a narrow common passageof 10feet.As per my late Fathers WILL which is probated the common passage belongs to the four owners of the houses and is specifically stated in the said Will that the common passage is to be used only for "egress" and "ingress".But,my neighbour is treating the common passage as belonging to them. All visitors and their tenant are parking their vehicles before our houses and visiting them. The complaints lodged with the Police has no effect. Therefore, the only alternative I feel is to resort to prosecute them under the relevant provisions of the Cr.pc.Can anyone help me as to how I should proceed to take action as contemplated?

would you pay more taxes or a special fund so that the government has enough funds to arrest, process, have a trial, and finally deport. Take in mind you will need more prisons\holding cells, more vehicles, more officers, more offices, more equiptment, etc...... If not how do you plan on deporting 12-20million ppl. Do you really want to close all possible work and have them run deeper into the shadows and possible force them into a life of crime so they can survive?? Are you willing to pay for all the legal battles?? What would you do with the Children that are US citizens. Please give actual educated answers not just go home, deport them all, illegal is illegal, blah, blah, blah. We need solutions not bumper stickers.

July 4, 1776. The People of the United States declared their independence from King George III for reasons including:

"He has refused [to agree] to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good"

"He has obstructed the Administration of Justice..."

"He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone..."

"For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury"

"For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences"

"For ... abolishing our most valuable Laws..."

The declaration says: "A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."

Thus was King George deposed as the Ruler of These United States. ALL of these things are true of George Bush who, according to our own Declaration of Independence "is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."

On July 4, 2007, shouldn't Free Americans impeach the new King George II and his court, including Lord Cheney?
