You don't NEED to progress when you are convinced you are going to be pulled away to heaven in a year or two.

because tax and spend isnt progress its welfare
because small business creates jobs NOT government.
because the governments job is regulation NOT residtribution of wealth
because lying under oath to a federal grand jury regardless of subject is still lying and the clintons should not have set the standard of a heartfelt apology and not jail time
because there is nothing wrong, illegal or immoral about getting back more of what i legimately earn as a taxpayer, ill spend it and help the economy that way. its my money not the governments.
because having a liberal in charge that puts the largest tax increase in us history in force and taxes social security breaking a fifty year promise to this nations elderly is wrong.
because reagan proved the liberal concept of confiscatory tax rates is wrong and clinton taking credit for the reagan tax cuts wont change that
because welfare reform is badly needed and was NOT a product of the clinton administration, it was a part of the contract with america claimed by clinton and the liberals after four successive vetoes.
because conservatives know what is...is and know how to keep it zipped up and do their jobs.
because most conservatives know how to defend this country and think cut and run is naked raw cowardice.

I am not sure what you are talking about the "right" blocking progress. It is the left that always jumps on the band wagon, and forces communities to have to adopt new ways to preserve green space, or shutting projects down all together because of owls who can't find a new home, or blind cave fish several hundred feet below the surface of a project. It is the left and all their little band wagon causes that cost projects millions of extra dollars that eventually gets passed on to the consumer. I think you have it backwards. The is pro-money making, at almost any cost, look at the war in Iraq, the right money grubbers are making a fortune right now by charging ridiculous prices for gas and oil, and have the audacity to brag about the billions in quarterly profits they are making.

We don't block progress that will benefit the greater good of the whole country. The left's idea of progress only benefits certain special interest groups.

What on earth are you talking about? Both parties have turned their backs on the people who got them elected! Your beloved Demoncrats have been hi-jacked by extreme left wing/socialists. To be fair, the only saving grace the Republican Party has to offer is that they won't "Tax and Spend" us to kingdom come. Do you really think either side cares about what the American public wants?
To jaceroo: guess who was responsible for taking property away from people to use the land for their own commercial purposes...Your good friends (?) The Clintons! They displaced over 120 families while selling their acreage to land developers. Oh I forgot, we don't hear about these things from the media (it might hurt their chances of getting elected).

because most of the time it means taking something away from the people, like land that has been theirs for generations, or their home. Case in point...a new school is being built about 5 miles from me. The old man had to ...HAD TO sell his land to them...but they can not have the land his house is on until he dies...He is 68...now I know how the Indians felt...That is just sad that we have to give up something for progress...whose progress is it when all we worked for all our life is being took from us at fair market value...oh come on ...
