200 years ago there weren't that many people With so many people in the US today why don't they take a few days or even a week to decide one of the most "important" decisions?? More people would vote they could fix any booth malfunctions after the first day and so many other things would be better. Is it in the constitution that you only get a day or where does that come from? It needs to change!

It appears that Democrat Harry Reid is using a gambit known as a 'clay pigeon' to slip through legalization for over 12 million illegal immigrants. Why won't our so-called 'representatives' listen to law-abiding American citizens?

Is this operation so unorganized and different on both sides that the term war does not fully adequately describe the event here. For there is certainly war going on, but this is not a normal battle of powers, but an underground battle of wills between tradition and pride vs.strategically well-meaning idealists

I know of someone who has just been offered a £2000 a year course to retrain in computer it,yet this guy is under a 18 month suspended prision sentence and180 hours community service,
(he was told he would have gone to prision for his crime, but because the prisions were full at the time of his case and under government guide lines he would just get a suspended sentence and community service.)

yet if i would like to do the same computer it course, i would have to pay in full , were he does not have to.
he was also told there is much more money available to help retrain offenders.
so my question
Is Uk tough or weak on crime?

Well, you've heard by now that Senate leader Harry Reid insulted one of this country's brightest military minds, Marine Corps General Peter Pace -- calling him "incompetent." Let me take a few moments to put this in context.

Wouldn't we have to deal with that situation eventually? Or should we leave the Iraq problem to our children/grandchildren to deal with? Let them clean up our mess?

It was also suggested that the BBC is guilty of political correctness, the overt promotion of multiculturalism and of being anti-American and against the countryside.
"It is hostile to conservatism and the traditional Right, Britain's past and British values, America, Ulster Unionism, Euro-scepticism, capitalism and big business, the countryside, Christianity, and family values.

"Conversely it is sympathetic to Labour, European Federalism, the State and State spending, mass immigration, minority rights, multiculturalism, alternative lifestyles, abortion and progressiveness in the education and the justice systems."
BBC Trustee Richard Tait, a former editor-in-chief of ITN and one of the report's authors, said: "The BBC cannot allow its output to be taken over by campaigning groups any more than by political parties."

What do you think? Agree or disagree?

My fiance was just charged with DUI he had 4 beers in like a 2hour period. He was driving our veh across the street to the convenience store and ran out of gas. He was out of the vehicle and was walking across the street when the police officer pulled up behind the vehicle. He was called over and then arrested for DUI. Do you think that constitutes a DUI?
