There are NO benefits, only for Brussels and those in power !!!! Member states are allowed to run their own affairs, to retain sovereignty, ONLY where the EU does not.!! How kind of them!! Jurisdiction from Brussels is specified in transport, energy, trade, competition, agriculture, fisheries, space exploration, social policy, public health,(NHS?) employment policy, consumer protection, asylum, immigration, criminal justice and foreign affairs. No wonder our politicians talk about schools so much. It’s pretty much all that’s left! I have read the original Constitution, and the so called"watered down" version..............Make NO MISTAKE, this Treaty, is likely to hand swathes of power to Brussels.Blair is a traitor and a liar, amongst other things...

The EU is just a middleman taking a cut out of the transactions that countries can do for themselves without EU meddling.
Prices in the EU are artificially high due to the rake off by Brussels.
On the global markets, prices in the UK would be cheaper and Britain would be able to trade freely with the African countries thereby reducing poverty in those countries.
The Treaty is Blairs stepping stone to be president of europe and is of no use to Britain.

More politicians riding the gravy train, more rules and less freedom for the people of this country and europe. The EU parliament is corrupt and filled with freeloaders who will do anything to protect their gravy train.
