Well, you've heard by now that Senate leader Harry Reid insulted one of this country's brightest military minds, Marine Corps General Peter Pace -- calling him "incompetent." Let me take a few moments to put this in context.

That's the pot calling the kettle black. Harry Reid is as dirty and slimy as any politician in Washington. I say we throw ALL of these bums out next election and find some folks to LEAD this country. Bring on term limits and campaign finance reform, as well as drawing and quartering for any office holder caught on the take. Line item vetoes too, yessir! I am sick of these elitist bastards lining their pockets and living above the laws the rest of us have to live by. Hang em all!

Here we go with Fred ,tell them what they want to hear, Thompson bending the truth. First lets look at the facts. The war in Iraq is a mess. We are spending more and more and more money on it. The people in charge of the war tell us different things about the war than our own reporters embedded with the troops. This leads me to believe that Reid knows a little about why these facts exist. Just because you are or have a commanding voice and speak for Paul Harvey does not make you an expert. I would say Fred is only using talking points again and Reid is at least trying to get the Iraq problem at least a a manageable level. It appears that incompetence is rampant in the war in Iraq.

So Harry Reid is now the absolute expert on the military. Where did he serve? What rank was he? Harry Reid is a bumbling idiot who hates General Pace because he (Reid) tried to micromanage him, and Pace would not allow it. Harry Reid is what's wrong with the United States. I will go one step further. Harry Reid is a traitor to the United States and should be placed in front of a firiing squad

First thing, even as a Dem, I can admit the failures of a member of the Democratic party, which Reid is in that category right at the moment.
Second thing, you and I both know, Fred did not pen that article, he could not even propose a bill and has done nothing but read scripts.
I personally think the only thing Reid and Thompson are qualified for is to co-star in a remake of Andy Griffith. We know Reid would be Barney at this point and with good scripting Fred could pull off playing Andy even though he lacks the looks.

Thompson, at this point who really knows.
Reid is despicable and he is a disgrace to the United States. He might have the title of leader but he not one, nor will he ever be, any kind of leader.
While the Democratically controlled Congress conducts witch hunts and issues subpoenas for no good reason they overlook the illegal behavior of their own members. they think they have such high moral authority.
General Peter Pace is a great military mind, and Reid is sick in the head. If this had been a Democrat war, instead of a so called Bush war, even though Dems instigated it, then Reid would have probably keep his mouth shut.There were plenty Dem wars.
World War I = Woodrow Wilson (democrat!)
World War II = Roosevelt (democrat)
Korean War = Truman (democrat)
Vietnam = Kennedy / Johnson (democrat)
Bosnia = Clinton (democrat)
Somalia = Clinton (democrat)
Haiti = Clinton (democrat)
Generally, it has more often than not been the democrats who got us into war. But then, the "New" liberal generation is too young to know this and has refused to study history. Tell me, do you suppose that if Newt had done Madeline's job, as Nancy has tried to do Condi's, maybe we could have avoided 9/11 all together? Should Nancy have been arrested for impersonating the Sec. of State?
Does this answer your question, and why did Reid not insult her , cause she is a Democrat. Reid needs to be dragged out of office and physcially carried to the front lines in Iraq, give him the same equipment any troop has, bet he will be begging for General Pace to come help him. Why should Pace be insulted because of his own opinions, while Reid is not being punished for his. Funny how them old double standards just keeps raising their ugly heads.

I believe Senator Fred Thompson is going to make a great President. He is very knowledgeable in Foreign Affairs, Economic Issues, and Moral/Social Issues.

Senator Harry Reid is a disgrace to America, and to The Senate, and should be removed. He is vested in the defeat of America in the World War against mohammedan Terrorists, he supports immorality, and infanticide. He isn't out of touch, he is evil.

Reid is out to touch us all in a bad way! Peter Pace is a great general, has much honor about him, something Hariy never has had. Fred on the other hand is a good man, a leader and what we need in 08

No, Harry Reid is the leader of the Senate and would have had some say in whether Pace was reconfirmed as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He made the comment to the small group of bloggers after Bush and/or Gates decided not to let Pace go. They didn't find it of much interest, so they didn't even write about it. Here's what Reid told Fox News about Pace's chance to be reconfirmed:

"I believe that General Pace would not be if he had come forward to be reappointed the chairman of the Joints Chiefs. It wouldn't have happened and I'm not going to get into what I said or didn't say. There is a long list of people including Senators (Carl) Levin and (Jack) Reed and others who have talked about General Pace long before I did. I think we should just drop it. The fact is, he's not going to be the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, for which I'm happy," Reid said."

I hope that helps to put this non issue into context.

Thompson believes that we are in this war through Constitutional means. He is wrong. Only Congress can declare war and they haven't.

The only things Congress has done is use their acquiescence with the will of the Bush admin to whip Bush, vote for funding the war while claiming war is evil and get some headlines.

Reid and Thompson are both out of touch with the Constitution and that is enough for me to not even consider voting for either one of them.
