...the fine for being caught with pot is only $25 for a first offensive while the fine for being caught smoking a cigarette underage is $125 for a first offensive? It just doesn't make sense.
This fine is for my city; I don't know about any other city.

My source is a friend. He may not be correct, but I do trust him.

Clinton didn't stand up to the terrorists and we got 9/11. He had a great approval rating among Democrats. Bush stood up to these terrorists after 9/11 and Democrats hate him. Why is that?

Sometimes in the news they talk about online groups where they can openly discuss suicide, methods, etc, and are nonjudgmental about it. They call themselves pro-choice with respect to suicide. However, they news do not give the names or the URLs of these groups.

I heard Clinton and Obama today talking about how the government, with them running it, will somehow create jobs in the private sector. And I've heard plenty of people say that Bush somehow lost those jobs in the first place. So I'm curious, how does that work? How would the government, which produces NOTHING, go about creating a good or service beyond more government? How does the government create real jobs?

don't get me wrong America is "okay" but there is no way i would fight for this country. all those innocent people in war fighting. most of them don't even know what for. 1. A system of academic selection in public (state) schools, for all its defects and biases, is preferable to an "egaliatarian" system by which children are allocated to schools based on residence area or lottery. Yes, academic selection might give the middle class an advantage, but bright children from poor families would benefit as well, and the competition to get into selective schools would force children to study harder.

SOME Americans and Europeans have told me that "competition is not good for children". Nonsense. Everywhere in Asia, bright children thrive on competition. And in any competiiton, some people will always come out ahead. It's not unfair, it's just life.

2. I would prefer having a meritocratic House of Lords composed of (or elected by) the intellectual elite. It should be a counterbalance to popular sentiment and somewhat disconnected from the masses. After all, do the masses really know what is best?

I personally like him, I am just wondering how people can judge him so harshly without even really knowing him. So you may not agree with his policies, beliefs, or the Iraq conflict. I still can't understand why people are so willing to hate him instead of just saying I disagree with what he has done.

The paparazzi has ruined many lives. The paparazzi freqeuntly hounds celebs from many occucaptions.

People like Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton, the former Princess DI, even Prince Harry can't go nowhere without these scumbags stalking and hounding them.

If I tried to do any of what the paparazzi are doing I would go to jail. Recently Prince Harry could not ship out to Iraq with his unit, because the Paparazzi couldn't leave the story alone, this notified the terrorists, which made him a much greater target then he would have been in Centuries past.


Lets bring the strong arm of the law and start jailing Paparazzi Photographers or aka stalkers.

Specifically I told them I wanted nothing to do with being on their show, and they've aired it anyway, blurring my face, changing my voice, and being quite rude about it. I have a dozen or so witnesses who heard me say I wanted nothing to do with it...I just wonder if this is any legal backing for me...

I am a Chinese myself and I live in China. Frankly, I am sick of all the "I hate China" rubbish out here on Yahoo! Answers.

What I hate is not just what some of the lies that they are making up but how they didn't even live in China or at least do some basic research before posting their claims.

If you live in China for a few year and you still hate us then I have nothing to say. But some of them are just staying in their homes and insulting us without even bothering to do some traveling!

China isn't even a major power! Why don't people see that the great and glorious United States will never let anyone be strong?

(So, China have the largests army in the world, a booming economic and 5000 years of history but we are still not a major power. OK....But where is the prove?)
