I wish you could, but you can't just snap your fingers and have good paying jobs materialize, so I don't think liberals or conservatives could bring this about. We can't even keep jobs in this country. I hear China is building an automobile plant in Mexico. Maybe that will help. Sooner or later there will be no advantage to migrating to this country, as there will be no jobs to be had.
More than anything, we need to encourage higher education both at home and abroad. Education is one ladder out of poverty for everyone. It may take a generation or two to really impact things, but it is vital to future generations.

Well I don't think they are going to go away. And somebody had better deal with them in one fashion or another because otherwise you'll have another civil war on your hands.
You can't push them back. Either force their government to take care of them (gosh aren't you tired of overtaking countries?) or just take them in and scatter them around to other states. It sure seemed like a great big country to me with a whole lot of nothing and lots of room to set them up if you really wanted to solve the problem.
You should have dealt with issues like this YEARS ago instead of being so complacent...your cup runneth over now and wow, what a mess for anyone coming into power.
Rak, people have been doing that for decades...they do it here in Canada...collect send money home to Poland, the Ukraine, the Middle East...why should Mexico be different?
You guys in America act like EVERYTHING happens to you. The rest of the world has to deal with this stuff to and finds a way to make it work.
Make it work!! Get a government that governs instead of a government that just wants to conquer the world.

as long as you have a corrupt government in Mexico things will never change. they hand out fliers in Mexico on how to sneak across the border. the Mexican government want there people to leave and come to the u.s. when they come here and work they send there money back home that way the mexican govt. dont have to take care of those people and collect the money just the same, they are getting the best of both worlds.....

Well as a conservative, I'm not too happy with my party right now, but I know the Democrats want more and more to come in and for "us" to pay for them all. And it is up to us, the conservatives to let our party know we aren't going to stand for it. If we don't, America will change forever...and not for the better.
We are a nation of laws....we believe in it...we live by it...and we are foolish if we allow our congress to decide to ignore it!
It is up to us to make our voice heard....and watching Congress in action right now tell you a whole lot...about your own Congressional leaders....about who believes in the law...about who respects the will of the people. Many are trying hard to ignore the voice of the people...the ones who put them there!
So pay attention and make your voice heard...by writing E-mails...by phoning...and faxing them. They hate it...but it does work! That's really what America is all about

liberals? I did'nt know there was a party called the liberals.
Maybe you mean the Democrats?
Let's get past all that media frenzy name calling first then get something done. I agree with your point, give them something to come home to and we will all be happy and "they" don't need to be illegal anymore. Some party needs to fix it and I'm not betting on either for now.

What makes you think we have the right to demand anything from another country - especially telling them how to govern themselves?
