I participated in a "peace rally" today with about 50 or so others. Most people were friendly and honked or waved as they passed by. Some were vocal and opposed our being there and made some remarks about us crazy Democrats. I did not know if the others marchers in the peace rally were Democrats or Republicans, but I came away thinking that Republicans must be "anti-peace". What do you think?

When I deployed my unit helped set up wells hospitals and schools and saw nothing on the news about it, but the day we lost 2 guys in an attack it was all over the news. Any reporters out there that can break this down Barney style for me. It really hurts knowing that the entire world thinks that were a bunch of screw ups when they dont know the whole story.

FPTP should be replaced with something like AMS - but maybe a little less in favor to the parties - i.e. by-elections taking place when a List MP stands down...

I'm American. However, I am a citizen (I think) as I was born there and lived there until I was five years old, and I am still fluent in Russian. Two of my aunts live there, and they are helping me set up. I'm 18.

Is it true that they hate Americans (I'm only 1/4 Russian, so I'm not "totally Russian")?

They have tremendous oil resources and a booming tourism industry. The problem is that their government is corrupt. Why don't they overthrow their corrupt leaders and fix their own problems. If they spent half the energy trying to fix their problems as they do trying to get into the US they might get somewhere.

Let's talk about the real problem and the real issue here. The Mexican government. It is time that they are called on the carpet for this problem.

and get people's accounts deleted.. Simply because they do not agree?
Do they actually believe this accomplishes something?

Reporting people is immature...
If you do not agree with something someones says .. what is so hard about ignoring them or walking away?

I have never used the report button and their are many people on here that i Do not agree with..

Is it because i am mature and adult enough to understand that one persons opinon is simply that.. a OPINION?

During Vietnam if there wasn't a draft no one would have enlisted into the Army and Marines so they (USA Government) made one go into the military. Now, fast forward to 2007. There is a war going on and young men/women are enlisting to go to war and not forced to go into the military. That is amazing! In the year 1972 all of us Military men said this could never happen ( Enlist without being forced to go in) but it seems to be working for now. Us old veterans from Vietnam find this amazing to the max.

Too many people today don't think for themselves, and many of them don't know how to reason or use relevant facts to back up an argument.
Is there a reason so many people on here just spew bull? Saying "liberals r stuuuupid" or "conservatives are uneducated neanderthals" without any evidence is just a waste of space. So please, if you are going to make sweeping generalizations about entire groups of people, back up your claims.

Remember kids:
1. claim.
2. data
3. warrant.

Should Britain have closer ties with the EU and share laws (even though the cultures differ greatly and thus each individual nation has different interests), or with English-speaking countries, such as the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. I'm starting to think that the latter would better fit Britain's needs. What do you think and why?

[[ Don't have a go at me if you do not share my beliefs. I want to have an intelligent discussion about this. Thanks ]]
