They weren't friends, probably didn't even know each other, however, in the 1920s Prescott Bush became the vice-president of Harriman and Co, which later merged with another bank and just before American entry into WW II became the main Wall Street connection for a number of German companies including Fritz Thyssen an early financier of the NAZI party who later fled Germany. After Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt signed the Trading With the Enemy Act and number of Harriman business interests were seized.

It has been alleged that Prescott Bush's business connections to German companies make him complicit with Polish mining operations which used slave labor out of Auschwitz were the infamous concentration camp was later constructed.

I don't know whether they were close friends, or not, but I do know that prescott bush financed hitler's rise to power, and even during WWII, while Americans were at war with the nazis, prescott bush was trading with the enemy.

The bush family assets were frozen during this time period because even after prescott was ordered to stop trading with the nazis, by the U.S. Government, he still continued, underhandedly.

I have read before that the Bush family had direct ties with Hitler However, I have never done my own research on the matter. With what is going on, now, I wouldn't be at all surprised. There are simply too many similarities not to wonder, though. The new names which have been created in our 'governance' in America, has become just too, too similar to that of the Hitler Regime. Like, "homeland" security? talks of naming a new war "czar"? and more, I would have to take more time to remember, or find all the terms which I have read and heard from this pResident.
Note: Also, keep in mind, the Patriot Act has given the pResident more power than any time in our history, that I can recall. He is able to use the FBI to watch these Websites, and record all our messages, emails, etc., and, to listen in on our phone calls, and... simply watch every move we make. Why do you think there are video cameras on major street corners, shopping areas, parking lots, and more, in this country? I do not believe it is to keep the U.S. citizens safe, so much as, keep us watched and well controlled!
