Why don't Mexicans fix their own country. Their GNP is reportedly in the top 10 in the world.?

They have tremendous oil resources and a booming tourism industry. The problem is that their government is corrupt. Why don't they overthrow their corrupt leaders and fix their own problems. If they spent half the energy trying to fix their problems as they do trying to get into the US they might get somewhere.

Let's talk about the real problem and the real issue here. The Mexican government. It is time that they are called on the carpet for this problem.

Exactly. I agree 100%.

But their European Spanish blood leaders encourages the darker, smaller Mexicans to cross the border, work in the US illegallly so that they can send the money back to Mexico. This way, the Mexican president doesn't have to do anything for them! The US does all the work and takes care of their poor Mexicans. So why would they change something that's been working perfectly in the favor?

the answer to your question is in the question. government is corrupt. stupid corrupt governments. we should start a "Let's Join Hands and Smack Corrupt Governments" committee. so sick of them. It's actually a psychology thing, not a race thing. political leaders of corrupt countries really all have the same goal: accumulate x amount of power and then sit on ***. this is why the mexican government isn't doing anything about anything. they don't care. they have all the power they want therefore they don't feel they need to do anything more. but their problems are overflowing into the US, so the US gets mad and so mexico says, well, if this bothers you, YOU fix the problem cause it doesn't really bother me so what now. So US gets stuck with fixing the problem. As for the people that should overthrow said corrupt government, are there any? there aren't a lot of people with the recourses to overthrow a government (ie: its not that easy) and also since its a corrupt government, they probabaly corrupted said people under said government

This is a good question. It's funny how the mexican's on here get really offensive when asking a question like this...oh well. Really, we know that there are other immigrants, but look around what do you see? Hispanics, which are the majority of illegals.

If anything the US could help I guess, we seem to want to help everyone else. There must be a hidden agenda behind it. However, the military is arleady stretched. I think someone else on here suggested it too since we helped Iraq, why not Mexico?

I say we arm the twelve million illegals to the teeth and then send them home to fix their problem. The problem is--our Fascist Corporate interests are the ones who are to blame for the woes of the Mexican people. It's our failed free trade policies that allowed Mexico's own Government to exploit it's own peoples in the first place. You'd a thought that a former Border Governor/president would have the first hand knowledge to deal with the Immigration problem--GO Figure!!

ill tell you why because if we start a "fixing" we'll probably get shot in the head.
oh and some people have been here for over 15 years and are illegal. why would we go back and try to fix the country if we have made our lives here already.
ill tell you what. try to change places with immigrants you get 10 dollars a week thats what 40 dollars a month? your kids are lucky if they finish school. people are being kidnapped because of the frustration in our countries. what would you do? oh and only a border is stopping you from giving your family a better life.
oh and people protesting and stuff are not only mexcians.
don't judge all illegals for the actions of some. we are not all ignorant.

It's true that their government is very corrupt. It's also true that if they put as much energy and effort into fixing it as they do demonstrating in america and parasiting off of our economy, they could fix it. I think that the unfortunate truth is that people become used to the status quo and also tend to take the easiest path. It's easier to come to america and work than it is to fix their own country.

They Gov. controls the military, they can crush any resistance if it is not a powerful one, which I doubt will happen without foreign aid.

If Mexico is in the top ten, what does that say for the rest of the world?
Hire some body guards and visit Juarez. You won't think too highly of the city and may see the country as it really is.
