Too many people today don't think for themselves, and many of them don't know how to reason or use relevant facts to back up an argument.
Is there a reason so many people on here just spew bull? Saying "liberals r stuuuupid" or "conservatives are uneducated neanderthals" without any evidence is just a waste of space. So please, if you are going to make sweeping generalizations about entire groups of people, back up your claims.
Remember kids:
1. claim.
2. data
3. warrant.

How very true, take for example those that refuse to believe the irrefutable facts that show how the Govt has lied about 9/11. One can really go into almost any category here and see that the majority of responders are chronically stupid. Many of the questions, in most of the categories are also ones that only a moron would have to ask. All Americans are entitled to their opinion and free speech but few have been educated enough to comprehend anything complicated.

That's true. The Republican/Democrat namecalling is truly idiotic. The people who refuse to tolerate anything other than the official government story of what happened on 9/11 are also annoying. If you give your opinion on the subject that the official story is questionable, they just spew venom at you and dismiss you as a crackpot or a lunatic. It's really close-minded. But I guess they get this attitude from media conditioning. Sean Hannity of Fox News is notorious for issuing nasty smear attacks on anyone who even questions the official story of 9/11.

Thank you - I get disgusted with this format because people post wildly inaccurate claims all the time - with no link to back it up. Some guy was claiming Canadians pay 2-3 times more for health care and it was either a misinterpretation of the numbers - or a flat out lie. No links. If there is one thing I can't stand it's a liar and an ignorant person to a lesser degree.
Please folks - If you post something, back it up.

Reasoning isn't just quoting some sort of statistic or survey or whatever, reasoning also involves observing actions, reactions,
consequences, outcomes and just seeing things for what they are and not taint the observation with preconceptions, biases,
or, here's a biggie, emotion because all those things skew your observations and you end up with a untrue conclusion.

Most of us are here voicing our opinions, not writing a thesis. If you dont agree with a persons opinion then move on to the next question. There is room on here for all types, including those who unfortunately just like to bash others who dont agree with them.
So just:
1. Deal
2. With
3. It!

Hm, that sounds familiar. I try to do that but I admit its not as easy as it sounds sometimes. You don't have much time to answer these questions before you have to move on to the next one.

You are absolutely right! Most want to be told how to think! I think it is a laziness that will prove to be quite damaging to their lives and to our political process! Good question!
