Hi,
A year ago when i was 16, I have decided to join the USMC, i have seen these people worked in times of peace and war and these guys give me a reason or something to fight for, not just becasue they have cool guns and equipments but the decisions they make to safeguard the lives of other people especially what they are doing in Iraq right now and i know being an officer i am entitiled to make decisions that could save more lives and avoid collateral damages, and that's the reason why i like to be an officer in the corps... Is there chances that i could be an officer? i am a filipino, i was born here in RP, and i am planning to go to US after i graduated from my nursing school here...
Tanx, God bless.. :)

QUOTE "Foreign powers are clearly failing in Afghanistan; they neither won hearts and minds nor contributed to the stability and rebuilding of the country in any meaningful way, says Ramzy Baroud."

I know the British troops place huge importence on winning hearts and minds based on 35 years of TRIED AND TESTED experience in Northern Ireland, but, with so many Allies having thier own agendas, could those be sending out mixed messages resulting in the ultimate goal taking longer to acheive?

i don't want my child to go to DARE education at his local school because i believe that it gets him to comfortable with the police. I feel like if he gets to cofortable with the police he may be quicker to give information to the police later in life.

United States of America was once a land of hard working people, and the Democratic party was considered its back bone. The Democrats proved numerous times that they could stand strong against the Republicans with democratic leaders that kept our nation united. As this country slowly watches the Democrat party lose its appeal, the US once united has become undivided and dysfunctional. But the Republican party remain untouched untainted, there views their inconstantiecies(bullcrap) never change, which cause the Democrats to become more bitter and resentful and take every opportunity to insult this country and its President. Democrats believe seperating themselves from government the President and his polices make them wholesome again.

Do you REALLY want the government controlling private industry? It's SOCIALISM! Look at public schools and public housing. These things are the bottom of the barrel. Government schools are dangerous and sub-standard. Government housing is dangerous and sub-standard.

I can't believe Americans will swallow public healthcare. Aren't we smarter than that?

My child attends a catholic faith school. As part of her religious studies education she has been told that homosexuality is a grave sin and that all individuals who practice it are destined to eternal damnation.

Is it right that a state school funded by the taxpayer (in the UK) should be allowed to teach such open discrimination against a segment of the population or should the established churches be allowed to teach freely their own gospel?

If a CITEZEN breaks the law (regardless as to what law was broken) they get arrrested or a ticket depending on the crime. If they do not appear for court or do not pay their ticket they get a warrant placed on them.

Shouldn't people who broke the law to come here (who commit a crime) be held to the same standards?

I mean they want to be here...right? They want all the benefits of being an American....right?

Well, shouldn't they be subjected to the same enforcement of the law they US CITIZENS are? They want to be equal...they want the same rights.

If a US citizen breaks the law, don't we get arrested (or at least a ticker that we are expected to pay)? If I get pulled over and cannot prove who I am, if I break the law, if I go anything illegal, am I not expected to deal with the consequences of my actions?

They broke the law. PERIOD.

So, why should they not be forced to deal with the consequences of their actions?

I moved out of my brother's house & went to a shelter because he was beating on me & taking my money & stealing from me & invading my privacy. Since I just moved out on Friday, I didn't get a chance to get a PO Box yet. I had some very important mail that was supposed to come, regarding my food stamps. If my brother refuses to give me my mail, is that a criminal or civil suit?

Tomorrow, I WILL be going to get a PB Box. I need to return his keys, but I'm afraid that if I go to his doorstep to return them, he might either hurt me or just straight call the police on me. Do you think I would be safer to return the keys to his landlord? I just found out that he had me living with him illegally & didn't even put me on the lease.

He took the money I gave him for rent & spent it on partying with his friends & buying cigarettes & pizza & had nerve to not share any pizza with me. Now he's wondering how the rent, lights, water, phone, etc. will be paid.

WMD's - not there
The people would love us - they are still killing us every day
This action would be quick and easy - we’ve been there forever with no end in sight.
It would help stop terror - more people are joining for terror groups from Iraq now than any other country in the world, this was not so before we got there...

An addiction to heroin is just that , other than being addictive there are no harmful side effects other than may-be constipation which is more annoying than harmful. Alchohol addiction though can be physically and mentally destructive, I can't think of a drug like alchohol that has such far reaching absolute devastation and yet the canadian gov'mt sees fit to keep this drug illegal and heroin illegal.
There's probably going to be many people that read this and won't believe that Heroin, that as Canadians we've told time and time again about the evils of heroin and the destruction of alchohol is down-played, yet the truth is, an addiction to legal heroin compared to a addiction to alchohol is so much safer . Our goverment has lied to Canadians how bad heroin is while down playing the absolute devastation and misery that the drug alchohol causes in this country .
Why aren't Canadians told the truth. As a drug heroin is in fact very safe.

The majority of people haven't been satisfied with the executive branch of the government for a few decades. The leading candidates for 08 don't seem much different.
Maybe we should consider outsourcing the presidency to a private management firm. At least the accountability might improve.
Or perhaps, we should consider sending the job overseas and get it done cheaper.
